I just asked for a link.

BTW, regarding the Warren quote, Warren had just been sacked by Hatton and made all sorts of claims, which Hatton's camp said were untrue. And Hatton said that he sacked him primarily because he didn't get him the big fights. There was bad blood between them then, and Warren was trying to discredit him, just as he tried to discredit Calzaghe when Calzaghe sacked him.

Also, I don't see why Hatton shouldn't take a mandatory defence against Maussa and then fight Mayweather as the next fight, after that. He invited Mayweather to be ringside at the Maussa fight in order to build interest in a fight between then in the new year and the invitation was declined.

You know this makes no sense, right?

You fight at "140/JrWW" yet you don't actually fight at 140 by fight-time.

          Explain...

i will repeat myself if floyd is deadset on fighting at 147 then fight a true welterweight in cotto or mosley or hell even paul williams since he has to move down in weight. the fact that he wants to fight an old natural featherweight at 147 instead of a prime true welteweight is sickening and disturbing and yet floyds nuthuggers refuse to admit it!! Hell this is worse than what De La Hoya did against Pac who everyone here was destroying before their fight because at least he was fighting a challenger in his prime!!! I would be bashing any fighter for doing this not just floyd before one of his fans plays the "hating" card!!!

As I said, it's all water under the bridge now. Hatton wanted tune-ups to prepare. He took his tune-ups. They fought. Hatton kept his word. We know the outcome. You don't seem to have questions regarding the outcome.

After Gatti, Floyd was interested in going to 147 for Judah. That's why he took the Sharmba fight, i guess. A speedy southpaw to prep for a speedy southpaw.

                Da Hammer,

Do you feel Floyd is a natural Welterweight? Also, I don't know that we can say that JMM is "a featherweight" anymore. No more than we can say that Floyd is a "natural SFW" because he had 30 fights down there.

Its funny how Cotto's fans want Floyd to fight Pwill but they never mention anything about Cotto fighting him!!! Makes u wonder if they are using an open mind when viewing boxing.

The point is that Floyd at that time wanted to fight Judah at 147, rather than win Hatton's lineal crown. I'm not criticising him for that, arguably Judah at that time was a bigger risk than Hatton at 140 in any case, but it's a fact. I just object to those who say that Floyd tried to fight for Hatton's lineal crown in 2005, when there's no evidence to back that up, and lots of evidence that he was more interested in moving up and fighting Judah.
