      Thats not a Cotto fan.

Us Cotto fans wants Floyd to fight Cotto. And dont play the card, that FLoyd will beat Cotto easily, we dont care just fight the men and prove it.

FLoyd either cant make 147, and he needs to fight real WWs not old SFWs, or he is not a WW and he should go down to 140 to fight JMM!!!!!1

mayweather vs marquez woulda only made sense to me if it was at 140 so since it can't be made... mayweather should fight a tune up against a WW and fight the winner of pac vs hatton

Okay I've found the article now, thanks. But it doesn't take away from the fact that Mayweather had already moved up to 147 by then, and wasn't interested in fighting for Hatton's lineal crown at 140. Also, it doesn't say Hatton was actually made an offer.

When ray says "there'll be more pressure from the Americans"... and " we want a few fights before Mayweather", i took that to mean...

Now, here is what confuses me.

YOU say that hatton wanted May in the fall of 2005. But RH is documented asking for tune-ups in the winter of 2006.

            Please reconcile

Why is it such a big deal to Cotto's fans?? I have never heard Cotto mention Floyd's name once...Its just his fans. How do you wonderful fans know he wants to fight Mayweather??

The fight just needs to be done at 140 got damn it. Its perfect, its like a catch weight fight. Marquez a 135 moving up to 140, Mayweather a 147 moving down to 140. Its perfect, no disadvantage for any fighter.

I want this fight to happen. As I think about it though, maybe Floyd wants to fight someone who is at 147. Which is why he wants a tune up at 147. Maybe PWill?? (going on a limb but hey its cool to dream.)

I love JMM but you cant call out mayweather and expect him to agree to your terms.

Moving down is actually a huge disadvantage for floyd, he hasnet been at that weight for a long time and he is coming off a layoff. Its a lot harder to move down in weight then it is to move up.

Here's how I view it. Mayweather has an argument for them fighting at 147 because Marquez called him out and demanded his name. Marquez has an argument for 140 because he'd be way to small at 147. The solution? THEY DON'T FIGHT!

The fight's a joke, even if it'd be a good "tune up" for Floyd, they still shouldn't fight. Personally I don't see the point of fighting at 144 or so when both would rehydrate to probably the same amount they would even at 147. Still the only reason for Floyd to fight at 140 is to get used to the weight so he can fight Pacquiao if he becomes the 140 champ. Still...the fight shouldn't happen.

Oh and Marquez-Morales is even a bigger joke.
