Julio cesar Chaves JR has fought on ton's of PPV fights but that doesn't mean he is a draw now does it?

Hatton and Gatti were fighting on huge boxing cards and yes they wern't on PPV but they were in front of 20,000 plus people. Hatton fought in front of 40,000 people,when he fought Lazcano last year for christ sake and when has floyd come even close to acheiving that? The fact is the ward fights generated ton's more money and popularity for Gatti that when he fought Floyd he was the hands down fan fav. Hatton was making millions in England in front of huge audiences before he even fought in America.

All the PPV thing means is that Floyd is such a greedy *** that he would rather have people pay for a ****ty card where he fights a ****ty opponent with ****ty PPV numbers than put it on TV for free.

In the US, revenue is generated by PPV. That is what makes you "a draw". Boxing matches in the US are not staged in big arenas. there is no interest in doing that. There is a reason that fights are held in small arenas in casino cities. The casinos pay site fees. Dontcha think tyson/oscar could have had fights in the SuperDome or wherever?

Here is the simple math:

Fight in front of 50,000 people with an average ticket price of $100 = FIVE MILLION REVENUE.

Sell 300,000 PPV buys with a unit price of $50 = FIFTEEN MILLION REVENUE.

That is what makes you 'a draw' in the US.

But if you want to focus on ticket gate sales, you can refer to the fact that mayweather-Judah sold out (15,000) at thomas & mack. In fact, the "crappy' fight with baldomir sold 10,000 tickets....same as Cotto/margaritto.

Mayweather fans are full of ****. If Cotto and Mosley call him out Mayweather he's too small to fight at 147. But if a FW calls him out he cant make 140 anymore.

cotto has a fight in june, so he's unavailable.....

and it's quite possible that floyd feels a marquez fight on ppv would do better than a mosley fight. also, don't forget the obvious - marquez is also an easier opponent for floyd in a "return" fight. don't get bent outta shape too soon, there'll probably be the winner of pacman-hatton first, then hopefully down the road we get to see pbf-cotto and/or pbf-mosley.

Well, I'm one Floyd fan that would love to see him beat Mosley & Cotto.
He already tried to fight Mosley and Cotto and the time wasn't right. If
Floyd comes back and campaigns at 147 like he is obviously going to do
then I'm sure he will give Mosley & Cotto a thrashing. For the record I
think Margarito/Cotto fans have the most excuses for their fav fighters
folowed by Pac in my opinion.

Its funny how the so called fans whine about PWill being to big to fight Cotto,Mosley or any other WW but he walks around at 150lb but when some fighter you like is asked to put on lbs the excuses start.
