Maybe Floyd accepted 140, maybe Pavlik would accept 154, the point is that JMM is trying to NEGOTIATE to FIGHT with Floyd since he is interested.
well whats all the problems about?? Let them figure it out, but ppl cant say Mayweather is a ***** for not coming down and fighting him.do you really think Mayweather was even thinking about Marquez?? All Mayweather wanted to do is fight the winner of Hatton-Pacquiao but Marquez wants to open his fat mouth he could get some too.

Gotta be serioud though, he doesnty want to fight Mayweather at 140, hes outta of control at that weight. hes already the **** but at 140 it would be serious trouble.

You refer to an "old dlh" when talking about the FMJ fight. But in the same breath, you reference Pac moving up to fight DLH.

No offense, killa. But wasn't Oscar 2 years older. And lighter. And weakened?

I just don't know that you are picking the best examples.

My suggestion? You should look at the weight different between the fighters. That is the single most important issue. Dotcha think?

What is the weight difference between:

      Pac/Oscar
      Floyd/Oscar
      Floyd/JMM
i never gave credit to pac for fighting old de la hoya. i just used him as an example that even he took more risk in fighting under de la hoya's terms than floyd

the jump that floyd is asking marquez to do is a lot more demanding than both pac/oscar and floyd/oscar

so yeah, the biggest factors here are weight and quality of opponent. de la hoya looked like a shell of himself in his last 3 fights (floyd, forbes, pac), but i'm sure that floyd won't look that way against marquez

nope, not many people take on unfair fights, unless the terms favor them (floyd in this case)

oh and why should he shut up? he's the #2 p4p right now. he's higher than floyd. so is pac. they can say whatever they want; they've earned it

Think about what you are saying.

            Floyd 148, Oscar 166
Pac 148, Oscar 147, two years older
            Floyd 148, JMM 144

What you are saying does not hold water. At all.

he's gonna take it at even terms. that's the least a #2 p4p fighter should ask for

so now the new way to measure fighters is by their weight on fight night? brilliant

cotto should avoid clottey now, since he weighs in at 170 on fight night? oh gosh, how unfair

i'm talking about jumping so much on weight fight after fight. pac was a 130 that jumped 17 pounds in half a year to fight oscar

                lets follow up your "logic":

                pac 130, dlh 147

                floyd 147, dlh 166

the difference got a wee bit more narrow now

btw, i said i wasn't giving pac any credit for beating old de la hoya... so why do you insist on quoting that?

dont call a person out and dont take the fight, hes gonna lose is p4p #2 for doing that. why would you even mention somnebodys names if you dont want to fight them, Marquez is a puss if he does take the fight.

actually, he's an idiot if he does take the fight (i suppose you're talking about him NOT taking the him)

if marquez is a *****, floyd will need a new name to define what he is for not taking on any current good fighter in his weight. come on, it's OK to defend him, but you can't call marquez a ***** after coming out of three of the best guys in their respective weight classes. can YOU say that floyd did the same in his last three fights?

whos called Mayweather out at 147??? Cotto has neber opened his mouth, Clottey hasnt. Mosley finally has be it took him 10 years to grow some nuts, Mosley just thinks this is the best time to get Mayweather, espcially off a 2 year lay off.
