Cotto vs. Clottey "Unification" Under Mandatory Threat

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Come on now my fellow PR....you KNEW this was going to happen.. The boxing media, the boxing organizations and the boxing world in general is ANTI-Puerto Rican and ANTI-Miguel Cotto. You knew they would not allow Mr. Cotto to become a unified champion or defeat a champion fighter. Now, you see what I have been talking about? It is in there interest to keep Mr. Cotto from becoming undisputed. You see how the 3 scum races want to bash Mr. Cotto from not having ever defeated a so called "champion" for a belt? Now....now they see the answer why LOL!! The reason Mr. Cotto fights for vacant titles is because the boxing world purposely keeps from unifying titles or winning a title. The ANTI-PR boxing public makes sure he is never allowed to unify or win any legitimate title belts. Let us not forget his evil corrupt Scum Promoter Arum. He is another who must not survive the June 13th war. His head will go also. Remember it was he who last year along with the Golden ***** used Mr. Cotto's name in saying they were going to fight him if he won against the Illegal Mexi**** Cheater......all while behind the scenes they were negotiating with Manny Pipsqueak to have the fight with the Golden *****. Arum was doing this behind the scenes, behind Mr. Cotto's back. The Golden **** was NEVER going to fight Mr. Cotto....it was all a scam because like the boxing media, his promoter is doing all he can to DENY Mr. Cotto big money fights, title unifications, any opportunity to become a megastar in the sport. Arum is another enemy of the PR people. His scam was revealed the weak of the fight last July when he announced and it was shown in PR papers that Mr. Arum had arranged the next fight for Mr. Cotto to be against....*wait for it*.....Joshua Clottey, the black apes new saviour, to be in November in Puerto Rico.....LOL, that's right. You can find those archives in the PR paper websites. You see Arum does not like PR or Miguel Cotto, he has continually worked against him behind the scenes scamming and cheating him of big money fights and opporunities, just happy to pay him a measly $2 or $3 mil a fight, chump change for a "star" of the sport wouldn't you say? You heard a few weeks back he said he would "love to put Cotto against Pipsqueak Manny"....then what happened the next week, he lied to Mr. Cotto again and is negotiating behind his back to once again screw him over AGAIN and deny him his Greatness by working with WelfareWeather for the match.....Mr. Arum must die! one way or another. So, my fellow PR, what you have read here is ALL FACTS...no opinion, no matter what anyone tries to tell you, each and every line I have written here are cold concrete FACTUAL information that can't be denied. I don't want you to worry though, our titles will be on the night of June 13th all of the dead black apes, illegal Mexi**** aliens, Euro sludge, all of the haters who sneak in, all of their bodies in the streets will be OUR TITLE. This IS bull**** though, i mean 2 more months? actually since the mandatory date which is April 30th, thats 1 month 1/2. This is total ******ation, it really speaks the IBF for itself, they should get rid of that belt anyway.

we get the point we are just saying they should allow him to fight cause its going to be to unify and a more dangerous opponent than clotteys mandatory. Also you say Cotto fought a joke. Well first of all who you expect him to fight after that brutal lost to mr plaster? Second it was for a belt what is he gon say no i rather fight someone tougher in my first fight back and not for a belt? Its an easy choice really. If you can get an easy fight in your first fight back since that loss and it would be for a title you would do it 2.

let the cotto fighting a "joke" thing go.......i was making a point that clottey had plenty of time to fight his mando, he could've had the fight the same time cotto had his........a champion doesn't hold on to a belt for nearly a year w/o fighting, and expect no ramifications.......if clottey has to give up the belt to fight cotto, he should.

Clottey has been on the shelf since the Judah fight and had plenty of time to make his defense.

It's a shame this organizations have to ruin unification, but I can't say they're entirely wrong here. Clottey hasn't done anything since Judah besides wait for Cotto.

but isn't it supposed to be his promoter that gets him fights. If he had a mandatory, why didn't his promoter make a fight for him. Countless times a new champion has fights against opponent who are not their mandatories. Pavlik is 1 that comes to mind, even berto fought collazo and i don't think he was mandatory either.


But bottom line is that the promoter's job is to get his fighters fights. Clottey just wasn't sittin on his a$$, he has been wanting a fight for awhile now and arum has paid him no mind!

This story is not 100% accurate. IBF rules ALLOW a unification bout to take priority over a mandatory defense. All you have to do is submit a request. Perhaps that hasnt been done by the promoter yet. In the IBF rules, Chapter 5.E (Unification Contests) Paragraph 2 CLEARLY states:

"For the purpose of unification of titles, the Champions of the WBA, WBC, and WBO may be designated as "elite contenders" and may be permitted to fight for the unified title. Any unification bout, if approved by the Championships Committee, will take priority over the mandatory. Despite the general prohibition in Rules 5.a.2 (b); B.2;, and D.1. (a) above, the Champion may box a WBC, WBA, or WBO Champion within 60 (60) days of the mandatory due date."


And for those that are saying the IBF stripped Margarito for fighting Mosley, that is not true. Margarito vacated the IBF title because Arum had already promised Clottey an IBF title shot. Margarito was not stripped, he voluntarily vacated at Arum's request ($$$).

my bad, you are correct it was cotto (typing too fast). And the day that I rely on press releases for accurate information is the day that I need to do something else for a living. I know exactly what happened with that whole thing. Believe what you like.......

And its not like I'm just "lovin" the IBF here. I happen to know that rule VERY well because that rule is what allowed Julio Diaz to sit on the title for 9 months waiting on Juan Diaz rather than to do his mandatory with Nate.
