Valero has been fighting ****ty opponents for the past while. No way does he deserve a shot at JMM. He needs to prove himself first. Juan Diaz?

However, if Arum says that the only way JMM will get to fight Pacman again is if he goes through Valero first, then so be it. If this is the case, JMM needs to beware of Valero's power. JMM is one hell of a technician and counter puncher but he is susceptible to getting hit and often. If he can avoid getting popped by Valero's power punches, then he'll school him technically. Valero is still very green but has that scary power behind him....would be one hell of a fight.

I have a question for you: How good is Valero's chin?

Simple, because losing to an ATG "light middleweight" in Oscar (even if he weighed less than a super-featherweight on fight night, LOL) is better than getting your ass whooped by an unknown guy from South America (Guzman), or getting your ass KTFO for the 3rd time by another unknown fighter from South America (Valero). To make matters worse, both losses would have happened in Pac's prime weight division. That would kill his legacy and marketability, even worse, *******s like yourself wouldn't have a hero anymore.

Pacquiao will never fight Cotto or Mosley, LOL. Weight drain is not in those fighters lifestyle so that kills any chance for a Pac victory.

          this is logical...

it is better to lose to dlh than guzman or valero. the risk is worth the reward.

that said its better to lose to floyd, cotto, or mosley. so based on the you're logic pac will probably fight floyd, cotto or mosley.

I think Manuel Marquez is a great fighter and I would want to see Valero/Marquez before Marquez/Pacquiao 3 at this point (Been there see that). I agree Marquez earned a big $ fight but who even knows if Manny will look for Marquez if he beats Hatton? Marquez is the REAL DEAL champ at 135 & he's ready to leave that legacy to chase Pacquiao? He should be writing his own chapter & becoming the man not chasing the man in my opinion.
That is the only thing I hate about Marquez, he is willing to throw all the work he put in LW just to face Manny I say clean out the rest of the division and cement your own legacy, but since he isn't getting any younger, I can't really blame him for wanting the Big $ fights.

He won't fight Cotto or Mosley. I guarantee it. They won't cut any weight to make the fight possible. Mosley enters the ring at 160. Floyd is the smallest of the 3, he enters the ring the same weight as Pacquiao, and he might be persuaded to come down at a catch-weight of 144lbs.

There are other intangibles aside from the name. I'm just saying the damage to his career losing to Guzman or Valero in his prime weight would have been the worst possible thing. Pacquiao has about as much chance of fighting a 160lb Mosley as he does fighting a heavyweight. I know how Roach picks fights, and it simply won't happen. The only reason the fight against Hatton was picked is because he appeared shot against Lazcano. I have a video of Roach admitting "Hatton was not the same after his loss to Floyd Jr., and he appeared washed up in his fight against Lazcano".

how can he outdo the pacman when he can't beat him?

I agree, right up until Valero turns his lights out with a big shot.

Dude Valero knocks out a 40 year old pitalua and now he can knock anyone out. Yeah he has pretty good power but look at his opposition, the guy was pushing 40 years old. Some of those crazy hooks and Hayemakers Valero was throwing wont land on someone that is not just standing there.
