Pacquiao and his fans will be in for a surprise.Styles make fights and Hatton has the perfect style to beat him.Hatton is the bigger man,and he's a pressure fighter.I can't visualize Pacquiao keeping him off.Its not like he's a slick technical fighter with this great defense. He's going to be forced into a crowd pleasing war with Hatton which he will get the worst end of it.

Come on, Pac accomplished a feat that will prob not be repeated within the next two decades and even took a big risk, something some fighters dont even bother to do. You'd be lying if you said Pac's performance was just OK. Real fans of boxing and even boxers will say Pac produced a spectacular performance against Oscar rather then find an excuse for DLH lose.
So DLH wasnt in his prime, was Jones when he fought Joe C. or Chavez when he fought DLH man the list can go on forever with this not in his prime.

Let me just break down facts and you all can disagree.
-Rickys only loss was to the previous P4P in Mayweather
-Ricky is now fighting the current P4P in Pacquiao
You dont just get handed this honor you earn it.
-Mayweather figured Hatton's come forward style and Hatton never adjusted.
-As soon as Mayweather got in those lead rights, pot shot, and moved Hatton slowed down, this was during the mid rounds. Expect Pacquiao to slide in that left just as quick.
-Round 8 Mayweather mixed up his punches and Hatton kept coming forward walking right into them. Hatton slows down again during the final minute of the 8th while Floyd is just mixing it up on Hatton. Pacquiao is known for mixing up his punches with angles and as soon as Pac catches Hatton with a lead left or right hook to stun Hatton expect Pacquiao to go in for the kill with his barrage of punches.
-Mayweather toys with Hatton in round 9 sticking out that left jab with ease and moving. If a left jab is easy to for Mayweather what more a lead left by Pac.
-Finally Mayweather figures out Hatton and his relentless come forward style and times a left hook that was thrown NUMEROUS times throughout the fight, hardcore Floyd fans no this and even Steward commented on it saying the check left hook that Floyds been throwing all night, as well as his lead right. This goes to show how well Hatton adjusts, his style never changed.
Now heres my point, Floyd and Pacquiao are two different but look at the way Floyd stopped Hatton, with the same arsenal Pacquiao has. Fast hands, mixing up punches, stick and move style, jabs, and the lead left. Pacquiao has the same traits to beat Hatton.
I seriously think Hatton is too over confident in this fight thinking he will just be able to maul and over power Pac but he will be underestimated.
Take away a fighters key components and what do you have?
-Remember take away Oscars well known jab and left hook, what did you have? A Golden Boy who had no game plan.
-Ricky Hatton, known for his inside body punching, maul and overwhelm style. Take the inside game away from Hatton, what do you have? Another sitting duck with no game plan. You gonna have to hold Pacquiao in order to rough him up and you think that holding style will hold up in Vegas? NOPE.

but i dont think pacquiao is a crafty inside fighter like mayweather is.. mayweather's craftyness and defense allowed him to pick apart hatton which he had really been doing since round 1 but it gradually got worse for hatton as the fight went on..
also is pacquaio as strong or stronger than hatton?
that also plays a part into how the fight will unfold.. i do not think pacquiao can fight ricky's style of fight and be successful.. pacquiao needs to control the tempo if he wants to win imo

skills will win this fight. hatton can keep on about his strength and hes the biggest guy he ever faced, come on pac started at 106 he has made a career of facing bigger men. hatton you are seriously deluded if you think that you are gonna rush in their and batter pac into submission. and all this talk of pac being unable to fight on the backfoot is bull. he doesn't have to, he uses lateral movements to turn his opponents, hatton is gonna get bewildered and disorientated when he fights pac. i guarantee you that pac will land more shots to hattons face then any fighter has ever. pac skill level is a level above hattons.

i agree with the analysis of the hatton-mayweather fight....hatton was frustrating floyd for the first 6 rounds....i had hatton winning rounds 1,2, and 5 through at least 6....then floyd adjusted...and beat hatton at his own game....and most of hattpn's power shots didnt lad at all because of floyds defense....this is where we disagree...i see hatton has potential to hurt pac because pac's just average defense....and i will agree pac has potential to hurt hatton....and the mayweather ko against hatton, had more so to do with hatton getting frustrated and running out of gas by round 10...i dont see ricky running out of gas in this fight.....and i think its a myth saying you cant catch pac....pac is off balanced and clumsy a lot of times throwing his shots...hatton can slide step and throw a murderous left to the body...as a counter something people are over looking.....but oh well....i see just a brutal war in this fight....both guys either bloody or both get hurt during periods of the fight
