another way to tell is simply seeing how much of an impact the punch made on the opponent. if it was a clean shot... in other words the other guy didnt turn away from it, didnt partially block it, etc...then you should assume it does more damage, because thats how boxing works. if you see their body shudder a little bit from a body shot, their head gets jerked badly from a punch, their jaw or face gets rearranged momentarily...then chances are, that punch did a lot of damage. you can usually tell when a punch has power behind it anyway, because of the landing fighters' body mechanics.
boxing is not easy to score because of this, which is why in some cases there is no true, clear cut winner. but for the most part boxing isnt that hard to score if you notice these things, unless you have to choose in round that truly could go either way.
and i didnt have diaz ahead in the fight when he got stopped, but he did enough damage in some rounds to get them. just fell behind in the overall damage done department.

your the one that favored a boxer because of heart thats why all your post are **** you ****** mexicans think that this is the ufc and that the toughest fighter wins but in boxing it's the more skilled boxer wins
change the topic.
Shane KO'd Tony, big deal, people make wrong predictions in fights.
You however, actually thought fights were scored by who landed more punches.
Mentally deficient?
yes indeed you are, as well as racist.
At least you're wearing the right color of dress, red always looks good on bitches.

Taylor deserved the chance to finish the fight he was winning.
even if Steele took time to send Chavez to a neutral corner, the count still would have been the same, because theres a guy counting ringside. its his job.
First off, the fight itself was stopped at 5 seconds left, its just on the record books as two. but the fight clock was at 5. whats more, Steele took a lot of time talking to Taylor after the 8 count was finished.
in a world of absolutely by the book perfect reffing in that fight, Chavez would have had 8 seconds to go from the neutral corner to the corner Taylor was in, and knock him out.
I certainly cant guarentee Chavez would have pulled it off. no way. but at the same time, he definately could have pulled it off. quite a few fights have ended in that time frame, and pretty much none of those guys had taken the damage that Taylor had taken in that fight.
