James Toney is overrated, Calzaghe would have schooled him

At the end of the day, the crowd means nothing. I never understood how anyone could cave to the crowd. A Pro handles what is inside the ring.
You can still be an American and have to deal with "hostile" environments inside the USA.
What did Joe really have to go through?
Was it greater than what Jack Johnson had to go through when Johnson fought in the USA?Comment

Still stands: How do you know Toney wasn't in hostile environment in any of his fights?
Johnson was to show you that you can be an "American," fight in "America," and still be in a hostile environment.
And which fights was Joe in that was hostile? Not because of a different country, but serious life-threatening stuff where it may hurt your performance?Comment

Toney in his prime would have schooled Calzaghe. He's definitely old and past his prime, but the man would have been too slick for Calzaghe.Comment

He should have fought Eubank, Benn, and others, but he was afraid to leave his home judges (like in the Tiberi fight).Comment

toney is one of my favourite fighters but against Joe Calzaghe it would be 50/50. Joe Calzaghe would be to active for toney just like jirov was and toney almost lost that fight.
And Joe had Enzo in his corner who is one of the best trainers in the world, he even said Joe could move up to HW and beat the klitschko sisters. I agree with himComment
