Again he did not lose his title, WBO doesn't allow you to fight for two titles. They first were going to fight for Phillips title but were not allowed

The Quintana fight was supposed to be a showcase for Williams against a former Cotto opponent, instead was outboxed and lost a decision.
The Margarito fight was supposed to be a showcase for Cotto against a former Williams opponent, instead was forced to quit and made the lesser man

Well i'm not saying Cotto ducked Williams i'm just trying to figure out why are some Cotto fans trying to make Clottey out to be this new "Goldenboy" Joshua De La Clottey that he brings so much more to the table. Instead of just saying something more simple like, Williams is not a welter anymore. Have to make it so hard and hype up Clottey to be like a number 1 Welter. When Mosley is the current number 1 Welter and brings a *belt and money and a actual fanbase but Cotto decides to go with the money-making De La Clottey.

Question: Why does Cotto mention Pacquiao and Hatton as possible opponents when they are not currently fighting at 147 lbs? Yet when it comes to Williams...it doesnt matter

what part of the when he was at 147 lbs, top 3 welterweight, wbo belt, win over margarito, and then called out cotto dont you understand? cotto and arum continously said they wont fight williams, well atleast arum did, cotto doesnt even mention him. your a good poster here but u do have a bias for cotto..how can you defend him here when the facts are in front of you.

You asked why he doesn't call out Williams. I countered with an example of why calling out fighters isn't all its cracked up to be. Especially when that isn't your style to begin with. Now we can move along.

He did lose his title because he doesn't have it... I don't mean that Williams lost it in the ring but he doesn't have the belt (nor his WW ranking) anymore, for whatever reason.

That doesn't have anything to do with the point I was making. Williams lost a showcase which would've led to bigger fights, avenged the loss, went up in weight and has stayed there ever since, losing his WW ranking.

Seriously, you're reaching for your hate.

You have a serious unwarranted hatred for Cotto. You're not being rational and you tell other people they have a bias? Please.

Williams beat Margarito had a belt. Very high ranking in the WW. Cotto didn’t fight him then, what makes you think he would have fought him had he beaten Carlos Q??

Because they bring in a lot of money and interest. Pacquiao is a top 5 WW as ranked by the Ring Magazine.

The Quintana fight was made so that Williams would look in destroying a former Cotto opponent and perhaps look even better in winning than Cotto did but he lost the fight and also his immediate chances of getting a fight against Cotto.
