Hatton doesn't have that and it would be a great accomplishment if Sr could devise a gameplan to have the limited Hatton walk out victorious on May 2nd
Hatton has a ton of natural talent. His footwork is second to none, natural strength, and he's got some quick hands and body movement when he uses it. Difference is Hatton never had a great trainer early in his life and most of his pro career. Like Mayweather said, Hatton was basically training himself. I always wondered how good he could of been if he had learned from better trainers early in career.

neither of them invented it. that kind of defense had been around since before their time.

Don't tell the NSB twits that, their heads will explode in anger.

I still see them referring to it as the "Philly Shell" because that's what they named it in "Fight Night Round 3".

Floyd Senior was a good fighter, but Roger was much better, even with his china chin.

Guzman did not change at all in the short time Senior trained him. he had that ability before training with Sr.
          yeah ive got wikipedia too

Floyd snr took over once out of prison, and the reason jnr fired him was because he said snr was a control freak, especially his life outside of boxing and wouldn't let him grow up, also he was always too over critical of jnr performances. Considering all of their differences you will never hear floyd say anything but "my daddy is a great trainer"

Roger Mayweather being a better fighter is extremely debatable, did he achieve more? Definitely...Roger was more attacking, and had a punch, which massively hindered snr career, who also did get shot, which ended his career prematurely.

Guzman is a matter of opinion, I thought he improved considerable. Of course he already had the ability but under floyd snr he started fighting more to his strengths and less recklessly. Guzman improved defensively, he was born with good reflexes, but floyd snr improved his guard and overall defense.

saying Mayweather Jr. is laughable, Roger was his trainer pretty much all his pro career. thats like saying Roy Jones Sr is a fantastic trainer because he started his son off in boxing. its just dumb. Sr was in jail since 2003, 3 years before Mayweather even went into the Olympics.

I saw little to no difference in Hatton against Malignaggi, and he actually did better when he went back to his old mauling style.

Mayweather did nothing with Joan Guzman other than screw up bad and let his fighter come in overweight and not fight. Guzman was trained by Don House up till 2007 and I think someone else before that. and surprise surprise, Guzman is now being trained by Roberto Garcia. in other words, Mayweather Sr did nothing there.

saying he did a good job with De La Hoya is a stretch, at best. if anything, he got hit more by Vargas than most people expected, and he didnt look in any way improved after training with Mayweather Sr.

so Im confused...what makes Sr such a wonderful trainer?
            You're not confused...just ******.

Sr added 10 years to Oscar's career.

Compare the way Oscar looked trained by Berastain to the way he looked trained by Floyd Sr.

You don't think the way he looked when trained by Beristain had anything to do with his physical condition and how skeletal and weak he looked?

And I'm saying Oscar would've looked just as bad with Senior had he been in the horrible physical shape he was in when he trained with Nacho.
