I THINK FLOYD IS EDGING COTTO WITHOUT HATTON OR OSCAR!
gatti carried the floyd fight. you can even tell that by what floyd was saying in the press conferences

NO ONE wants to see paulie fight. i don't know the exact sales, but i doubt hatton sold much against him either. besides, that was cotto at 140. he got famous at welter

thanks for the floyd/zab and cotto/zab clarification. i accept my fault there so my mistake man

point is, they aren't far apart in following, and cotto vs pac is not only easier to make, but also cotto would ask for a lot less money than floyd. plus, its a givne that it'd be a more entertaining war

Where did you get that number? It was 325 K last time I checked...

you forgetting his fights with morales,barrera2 and marquez rematch compare to mayweather sv castillo which imo was his 1st loss!

Floyd's had fights with Zab, Hatton, and Baldomir at 147 along with a fight with Oscar at 154. He barely did anything at 140 and he knew the money was at the higher weight classes. Plus, the dude walks around at about close to 160.

I'm all for Pac fighting Floyd and IMO it's not that drastic of a size difference, but you're telling me it's unfair for him to fight Cotto or Mosley as if they're too big for him? Then what was Oscar? (WTF? lol)
That's not at all what I'm saying. Roy won the heavyweight championship. Do you think he could have campaigned there against Klitscho and Lewis? Fighters move up beyond their natural weight to fight smaller guys in a higher class all the time. That's all he did. I've seen Floyd in person and I weigh 167 and he's smaller than I am. He walks around in the 150's for sure!

But Roy didn't claim to be the world's best heavyweight.

And then he fought Tarver at Tarver's weight class, he didn't fight him at heavyweight, whereas Floyd fought Hatton at 147.

Cotto needs to wait until he's off Arum's roster then demand an even split but in the meantime beat Clottey convincingly...I bet Mayweather gives Cotto a shot when he leaves Arum.
