Why does Floyd get the blame for the Cotto fight never happening?

The was no clear challenger out of that Pack. They were all stuck together.
And Floyd was on top of the Mountain Looking Down at them.

and When you are on top of the mountain like floyd was when he was in the Ww division. You dont go back down the mountain to try to knock people off.
You Wait until somebody gets close enough to the top where you are at and then you knock them off.

The reality is there wasnt no clear challenger...or nobody close to where Mayweather was at.

    Like it or not...

Floyd didnt have to prove himself once he became undisputed, all had to do was beat the closet person to his spot. The problem is nobody was close to him. because they were all still at the bottom pulling each other down.
Horus, this is an absolutely pathetic outlook of a nuthugger at his best. Truly sickening. You will rationalize anything (in your mind) to excuse Mayweather from fighting the most dangerous fighters to him.

I would put Floyd Sr. on Steward's level, and if Roger had a more comprehensive list of fighters that he had made good, I might put him there too. In reality though, it's not hard to look like a genius trainer when you only train Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Yeah I saw Roger was working with Edner Cherry but that didn't see to be going to well. I think SR. has done some decent work with Hatton with the fact that he was actually moving his head in the last fight. Both those guys are funny as hell and I love watching 24/7 when they are involved.

He did wonders with ODLH for sure. That's enough for me in addition to making Floyd the defensive wizard he is.

My point is calling out Mayweather doesn't mean he's giving you a fight. The best should want the best, thats it. Cotto was the best in the division then, and if he isn't now he's only behind Mosely who he has a win over. Do you see where Im coming from.

Yeah they are not scared of each other at all. Just passive about fighting each other. Fans make it seem like Floyd went out of his way to avoid Cotto but it just seems to me like neither guy was truly interested.

Lmao, while you were disgusted with Horus's post, I found it damn funny. I knew you'd respond like that.

Both deserve blame for it at different times in their career. When Floyd wanted the fight Team Cotto wanted no part of it. When Team Cotto wanted the fight Team Mayweather wanted no part of it. My guess is that the reason why people on this particular board and within the media blame Floyd is because people tend to have short memories.

They forget that Cotto was ducking the Mayweather fight like the plague a few years ago, but remember that Mayweather turned the fight down more recently. Same goes for a Mayweather-Mosley fight. Which is weird because "I have a toothache and then I'm going on vacation after I recover" is easily the lamest excuse ever offered up for not taking a fight.

I understand where you are coming from but what I'm saying it also depends on who is doing the calling out. Yes the best should fight the best but neither man seemed that interested in the other. You have to admit that Cotto was very passive at the whole thing. Fans wanted it more than him but Floyd gets the blame. All I am saying is blame both or neither.
