Why does Floyd get the blame for the Cotto fight never happening?

Cotto is a proud champion and not afraid of anyone. He has and continues to take some tough fights. I like Mayweather and Cotto and wouldn't try to bring one guy down to make the other look better. The thing is at the time Mayweather retired the tough fight that was there for him at welter was in fact Cotto. I don't make excuses for Floyd I just try to look at things realistically and try not to be too biased. If Floyd comes back and has a welterweight fight it should be whoever considered the best right now. Floyd came up to Welter at a strange time because Zab was supposed to be then man and mailed in a fight against Baldomir and lost. Floyd fought both but the wins were a bit tarnished because Zab underperformed in the previous fight. After that he hit the lottery twice and got Oscar and Hatton. The next fight should have been Cotto. IF he would have been able to beat Cotto he could say he beat the best at welter.

Would it be cool to see floyd give out charity fights sure he could of did it.... i would Love to see floyd fight 4 times a year if he could...

The difference is, I dont say he NEEDs to do something that brings him to the same place he was already at.

So to say he NEEDED to fight the whole division when he was already generally acknowledge as the man in the division.. Is ridiculous.

The goal of every fighter when they fight in a division is to be the man in that division and UNDISPUTED champion in the division.

Floyd was achieve that goal. He was UNDISPUTED!!


Cotto didnt, Mosely didnt,Margarito didnt,Williams didnt.

What they NEEDED to do was become the man in the division. Because none of them separated themselves from each other like floyd did to them...

If I had my way I would love to see Floyd fight every 3 months if he could. Because that means he would fight 4 times a year.

BUT THE 1 HUGE PROBLEM THAT ALL FLOYD FANS SHARE IS THIS:

Floyd fans have no problem with floyd fighting Other WW's...
The problem is that People saying he can ONLY fight Welterweights for it to be a legitimate fight and win, when he himself is not really a welterweight compare to the rest of the welterweights...

People say all he has to fight a real WW and nobody else..!!!

Floyd has already become undisputed WW champion of the world.

So what other award can floyd win at WW that he already havent got???

Why is that Mosely& Cotto can call out Pacquaio and Hatton but Floyd can't?

People get mad because I apply the standards on other fighters that they apply to Floyd...but my whole thing is dont be a hypocrite.

1. If you think it is Cool for Pacquaio to fight Hatton...Then you should think it's Cool For Pacquaio to fight Floyd...
   
2. If you think It's cool for Floyd to fight Paul Williams, then you should think it's cool for Floyd to fight somebody has tremendous physical advantages over...
