Coming back to fight a guy 2 weight divisions below you, 3 weight divisions above his best weight class is not the epic comeback these guys were expecting.

Fighting Sugar Shane makes up for that however.

JMM wasn't the only one who called him out. I recall several WW's calling him out, yet JMM a career featherweight gets the fight that brought Mayweather out of retirement.

        Disappointing.

            Someone not a career featherweight.

Marquez does nothing for his resume and does nothing as a tune up.

From a business stand point Marquez is a name. He also happens to be one of the men who gave Pacquiao trouble.

I'm sure Haymon hoped that some Triangle theories would arise after Mayweather easily beat Marquez, the man who arguably beat Pacquiao.

Still, from a boxing fans perspective, it was a ****ty fight from the get-go and Floyd should of stuck to picking a Welterweight like Quintana, Berto, Cintron, ect if he truly wanted a "tune-up".

None of those fighters are tune ups man. Cotto can fight Urkal, Gomez and Jennings and Marg can fight Golden Johnson?

But Floyd is banned form tune ups after a 2 year layoff? BTW For July 19th none of those guys were available.

Why would I say that Floyd is ducking a guy 2 weight divisions below him?

Ridiculous assumption. I thought the fight was a joke before even the first presser.

                    I didn't know that.

How are you sure that the guys I mentioned weren't available?

Did you do any research or did you just pull it out of your ass and assumed it was true?

No I did I research. Also just bumped a thread on it...

Quintana spent the year not fighting at all after his Williams KO and then when he made his comeback it was at 154 on December 5th.

Floyd signed to fight JMM for July 19th. Quintana scratch him off the list.

Berto is managed by Haymon. Scratch him off the list.

Kermit spent all of 2009 at 154 pounds. He also wasnt available.
