What did he PROVE?The fight was held in ENGLAND,his JUDGES,PROMOTER,REF,and doctor.BARRERA was right, the cut got no worse over 3 rounds it should have been stopped immediatly and been a no contest.Everyone knew KHAN would have the better of it early ,what I was waiting for was after 6 rounds. It was a good performance against an aging warrior but lets not forget that KHAN was knocked out vicsously in 89 seconds 2 fights ago ,has been down in 4 different fights by guys who couldn't crack an egg with a hammer.I just can't see a big carrear when your chin is that WEAK,you can't protect it all the time against the elites.
Khan will have proved everyone wrong when he manages to beat a top ten LW, or at least someone anywhere near the top ten. I'm glad i'm not in England at the moment as I bet the media is hyping Khan up majorly now, acting like Breidis Prescott never happened. IMO the only way Khan will win a title will be if one of the boxing associations gift wrap it and just hand it to him and with Frank Warren as his promoter thats more than likely.
Most of the UK media have it in perspective. They mostly point out that he looks vastly improved under Roach, but that other than that, this fight didn't prove anything.
if theres one thing that annoys me about khan its the cliches that he and his camp constantly spew out, i like khan as a guy hes alrite doesn't seem too full of himself and seems like someone who is willing to work hard. buts the amount of ****e that he and his entourage throw out:
"i proved everyone wrong" - errr no you didn't, you proved you can win over a faded, one eyed, past his prime legend. you proved nothing that we didn't already know, we already knew about your handspeed, stamina, power and accuracy - nothing new there. but did you prove that you can take a punch from a legit LW no, until you do you haven't proved anyone wrong.
"the boy becomes a man" - if someone trots this cliche out again im gonna end up putting a show through the TV screen
my personal favourite was the - its a 50/50 fight in the build up to prescott. no khan it wasn't a 50/50 fight youre the better boxer and you had faced the better competition and if you had half a chin you would have got the win.
Prescott wasn't even a World Champion!
Why on Earth does Khan get more favourable media coverage than great British World Champions such as two weight world champion Ricky Hatton, former Undisputed World Champion Joe Calzaghe and former Undisputed Champion of the World David Haye?

Incredible.
But he doesn't get more favourable coverage.
Why are you lying? You're miscontrsuing the facts and twisting them to suit your own viewpoint.
Every article I read in some way or another praises him and then highlights his vulnerabilities or predicts his downfall in the same sentence.

You're being rather generous. It was 54 seconds, including the time he spent on the canvas.
Amir Kahn shouldn't be so impressed by a win that came mostly by a technicality.
Who says that he is? Seriously, since Prescott the guy has had an awful lot of people on his back, and doubting his ability. Barrera got a hero's reception from a British crowd while Khan got boos as well as cheers. It was a tough test, and he came through it well... he has every right to be pleased and maybe to exaggerate a little.
