No they weren't! The fight was almost dead even in polls, the bookies had it close, and all of us knew the outcome depended on how much Barrera had left -- basically, whether or not he was shot. If any polls were ahead for Barrera, I would imagine it was only by a tiny amount.

So what? I agree there was certainly reason to doubt, and in some respects there still are, but you can only beat the guy in front of you - an opponent many thought would 'school' him. From the off, cut or not, it was obvious that wasn't going to happen.

Sure, Khan still has a lot to prove himself as a true world class fighter, but to some that seems to involve him necessarily beating Marquez, Diaz and chrissknows who else as well. Those standards don't seem to apply to anybody else. He hasn't even won a fr*gging alphabelt yet... one step at a time.

Who says that he is? Seriously, since Prescott the guy has had an awful lot of people on his back, and doubting his ability. Barrera got a hero's reception from a British crowd while Khan got boos as well as cheers. It was a tough test, and he came through it well... he has every right to be pleased and maybe to exaggerate a little.

I'll take my hat off to him because I think he deserves it . He looks alot better at the weight as well , more of a boxer look with that muscle off his upper body , that must be his conditioning . Good luck to him in the future

Well done Khan, you proved all your critics wrong. Many picked you to lose and you won. Obviously the haters will never give you credit, but you went into the ring and you did the job you had to do. You showed many improvements and boxed well. Lets hope you can carry this on against bigger and better opposition.
