Seriously, probably because he was hyped as the next big thing, but his chin is **** and he didn't live up to the hype
Hype? He's had 22 fights and just beaten a legend within 4 years of becoming a pro.

Ricky Hatton took on 30 fights before getting the recognition he has now and started fighting live opposition.

He's living up to the hype. He lost, big deal. He got over it. Where is Prescott now? Nowhere.....

How is it getting old? Yeah with Naseem people had good reason to hate him, I shouldnt have mentioned his name. But with Khan, he hasnt done anything really to warrent the amount of hate he generates.

Fair enough every boxer has his haters, but Khan seems to have a disproportionate amount of haters. Maybe its just where I come from but I swear a hell of a lot of british whites I know seem to be slightly racist when it comes to pakistanis.

EDIT: I would bet all my money that if a white fighter had the exact same career as Khan he wouldnt be half as hated

EDIT 2: Again let me just clarify Im not saying everyone is racist, Im just saying that racism is still very prevalant in British society today except its just a lot more muted then in the past.

And what is wrong with that? What's wrong with the guy who got knocked out in one round getting a title shot while the guy who took him out is forced to fight on ESPN? That's called hype son.

Because he's made out to be a superstar by the UK commentators although he hasn't won a world title or defeated a prime, world-class opponent. Because he was easily KOed in the first round the first time he fought a strong puncher for the first time.

I think Cleverly is a better UK up-and-comer, but the UK media doesn't hype him like they hype Khan.

well the heabutt wasn't Khans fault, but we'll never know what would have happened if a headbutt didnt rip Marcos head open at the start of the fight.

Good lord, I don't see how anyone could think that? Barrera was P4P #3 or something back then. That fight shocked me because I thought Marco would easily beat Pacquiao, but admittedly I knew nothing about Manny back then. It was a spectacular victory over a much more dangerous Barrera.

Please learn how boxing works matey, We have more and better up-and-comer Khan but none of them went to the olympics at 17 and won a silver....Understand??? Kevin Mitchell is also a better prospect even though he is a bit old but Khan couldnt help his media hype he didnt create it himself.

He had the hype because of what he achieve at the olympics.
