Let me speak for only myself here, but I dont hate Khan. I am bitching like a chick tonight because I said this exact thing would happen the minute the fight was signed. Marco shouldnt be fighting anymore, and Khan should be fighting other young good fighters to see who is truely great. I have directed my anger at Khan tonight, but its more about the cycle of young guys making a name by beating old, far past it legends rather then building the name by beating the other best fighters at there weight. I hated when Oscar did it to Chavez, when Pac did it to Marco and Morales, and hated it when Hatton did it to Kosty, to a lesser extent when Joe did it to Roy and when Lennox did it to Tyson. Now I hate this. This is no different to me. I just wish the fighters would have the balls to fight the best if they want to be great instead of beating old legends to build a name.
What is all this hate fro Khan?

But thats just the way boxing is, after getting knocked out by a nobody which of the great fighters of the division would have given Khan a chance? None of them would have wanted to fight him, and no one would have wanted to watch. It wouldnt make sense on so many levels.
The only way you get opportunities to fight the top fighters is by steadily building up your record against good but not great opponants, or fighting an older 'past the hill but still going' type fighter.
Its just part of boxing imo. I personally thought that fight MAB took a lot of guts on Khans part.Comment

21 fights, haha just kidding thought I would correct you. I understand what your saying and all but all I am gonna say is that he still needs to prove himself to be the world champ he desires... once he has done that I will respect him more (I don't disrespect him now).I mean the guy choses a ATG veteran who have over 70 fights to redeem himself, against all the odds against him and he still came on top.
I mean common guys, he only have 17 fights, I know he have a suspect chin, but thats no reason to hate on him.
I mean his attitude is what we need in boxing, atleast he have the balls and the willingness to be great. He chose a fight that he didnt had to take, i mean it was almost a no win situation for him, and he still won the fight with not that much to gain and with a lot to lose.
Give the guy a chance!!!!!!!!!!Comment

He barely has any fans. Not in boxing circles.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories or race issues, and Britain generally really isn't that kind of society. But Amir is a nice kid, does a lot of charity work, is a committed, dedicated young boxer, who has committed himself life and soul to boxing.
And you got a lot of Englishmen (grown-arse men) turning up at that venue to see him (a young guy) lose..why?....sure a really small select few wanted Barrera to flourish, most of those booers and sombrero wearers just wanted Amir to lose.
People should not hate Amir Khan the boxer, at all. You'd have to be a **** to.Comment

I understand how you feel here but your anger is misplaced. Because those "old guys" were not moving out of the way. That's how boxing has been for a long ass time now. And most of it has to do with draw. It's why every one was calling out De La Hoya for years when he was already past his prime. They wanna make money so you go where the money is.Let me speak for only myself here, but I dont hate Khan. I am bitching like a chick tonight because I said this exact thing would happen the minute the fight was signed. Fighters have a very short amount of time to do their business. And most of them don't get to secure a Legacy in the process. Hell even the ones that make it big end up bankrupt and in the ****can when they're older. So I can't say I blame a young fighter like Amir taking the fast track by fighting Barrera who is still a huge name. In the long run it gives him credibility in the public eye and opportunities to become a major draw himself.
Everyone here loves the fighters who seemingly do this work reaching for greatness. But never forget that these guys have kids to feed and bills to pay and most of them are professionally done by their mid 30's. Wtf would you do?Comment

you speak the truth brother. 100% agree. as a boxing fan i want to see who the best young fighter is out there not be protected from another young fighter because he might hurt you. if khan cant beat fighters his size, age etc then he is not the best as sky sports would have you believeLet me speak for only myself here, but I dont hate Khan. I don't know what fairyland you live on but Britain is one of the worst societies with a very rich history of cultural & racial manipulation both inside and outside of it's borders.
Rather how many American's today cannot comprehend why they are viewed as oppressors when they project themselves as liberators, British people are also often misinformed to think their society is somehow what others aspire to, when the reality is that they have deep rooted institutionalised systems which separate it's population based on class, race, creed and culture but most importantly adherence to the ruling authorities (which means you can be one or all of the 'others' as long as you adhere to the main ruling authorities agenda, if you are considered 'useful' you can be accepted into the higher echelons of society but if you step outside of those boundaries, you are quickly demonised and isolated from those circles).
I don't mean to be provokative but I'm just pointing to historical & current facts, that under the screen of what is seen as the authorities projection of what Britain is (which is carefully crafted utilising very sophisticated manipulation methods which run through every section of society), the facts remain that there are huge and growing problems within British society specifically in areas which have huge influence on ordinary people such as sports.
Considering Boxing's biggest audience is made up by large numbers of working class people, as are sports such as Football (soccer) there are many sophisticated methods which have been established over many years which help manipulate these sports starting with their system of official governing bodies and throughout every part of it's structure such as the specific way it is reported by their media.
Let's have it right, there is a huge problem with multicultural Britain and the fact that Khan has been used as an icon for multiculturism doesn't sit right for many people on all sides because they see it for what it is and neither the White British Boxing fans nor the Hardcore ******s, like Khan and view him as a tool of manipulation, so he get's it from both sides especially when his promoter further provokes matters by leaning towards his masters agenda through acts like giving away tickets for his fight to the British Forces!
There are many other factors which have been discussed regarding Khan and although they are just as viable and valid to the argument, the underlying fact is that Britain as a society is deeply divided and torn, as has been and will further be seen in the growing popularity of so called 'fringe' groups which continually grow in popularity amongst these divisive cultural, racial and religious lines.Comment

It's the fact that Khan has become a multi-millionaire by fighting bums, and Warren has conned non-boxing fans out of millions with his marketing propaganda.
That's why nobody likes Khan, he's a hypejob, the only thing that he's got going for him is SPEED and YOUTH, that's it. Once he get's in there with a semi-decent feather his China chin will let him down on every occasion.Comment

black old undefeated coming out of retirement to sell his non padded 0 to some white prospect wouldn't make u so mad would it? another known trait of the white racist is to feel ashamed of it and try to hide it in ridiculous transparent ways. grow a pair and stand ur ground, no one's falling for lies of that nature in the 21st century. most of yall kids still think it's the 90's. u'll be in for a shocker from the next generation u heard it here first. now wtf did i just say?Let me speak for only myself here, but I dont hate Khan.
