"had Cortez allowed more inside grappling Hatton would have been stopped even sooner"
This is quite possibly the worst post i have ever seen.
I shall spread it, it really belongs on ESB those morons and Ree****ulas would enjoy it.
Its not a grappling match its a boxing match. Hatton lacks the skills to compete with guys like Mayweather.
Also, had Cortez allowed the grappling to continue and Hatton got cut in the process, Cortez would have been blamed for not stopping and breaking up the grappling. Simple fact. Theres always someone else to blame.

I'm pretty sure it didn't happen like this.
I count it as a knockout. What does mayweather have to do - take his head clean off?
i think it is all down to how a ref wants to ref a fight...i have seen alot of grappling in a first round before. to say that all ref's dont allow it is a bit naive.
:-)
I guess you're so used to seeing DAVE PARRIS ref fights you think all refs allow hugging early in a bout...lol.

If Floyd took Hatton's head off they would be saying he had an unfair advantage because he was a jungle head-hunter..lol.
