Sometimes on here you feel like your debating/arguing with your lil sister or brother. That's my thing, Facts are facts and they don't try to see it because as far as they are concerned their favorite fighter has no flaws and can do NO wrong. The fact is that Miguel Cotto is a good puncher but that's about it. He can be durable against guys he can intimidate with his power but guys he can't back down, he starts to back peddle & scramble. We all witnessed it in the Mosley fight and most convincingly the Margarito fight. Once Margarito took away Cotto's punch and aggression, Cotto hit the ten speed and peddled his ass off.

Cotto is only dominate against guys who can't take his punch but once you take that away from him then he is all yours. If Mosley would have pressured him the first half of the fight instead of trying to out box the younger Cotto I'm sure Mosley would have won. That's why Margarito trumped Cotto because both depend mostly on their power & pressure advantages & Margarito was just tougher. If Clottey comes to the ring with his A game I am confident he can beat Miguel Cotto.

That definitely aint true. You overrate Cotto's stamina problems. He didn't throw himself out in the Margarito fight, he got beat up, especially to the body.

If Clottey doesn't pressure Cotto he won't win. Cotto won't punch himself out if Clottey doesn't pressure him, because if Clottey aint pressuring Cotto will dictate the pace. If Cotto dictates the pace he'll throw 50-60 punches around and he'll be fine unless he gets hurt.

c'mon mang, cotto was beating up marg easily... if he made it to the 12th round without taking any knees, he wouldve gotten the decision. but his stamina is not great because he was throwing too many combinations and got tired out.

clottey will pressure cotto and dictate pace, but not just by throwing punches... he'll get close to cotto, cotto will be obliged to punch or move, either way, cotto will expend energy. the only thing is clottey is not a hard or super active puncher. cotto will get tested, but I do expect cotto to win.
