When you look at it that way you can clearly see how much of a ***** Calzaghe is for retiring at 36!

At age 25 - Calzaghe wins first world title.

At age 25 - Hopkins has first pro win.

        There's the difference, son.

If Hopkins has turned pro at around 20, there'd be less chance of him being a P4P fighter now.

You sound as if you're implying that Hopkins owes his career to a late start. ****, I'd be willing to bet that if he decided to stick around for another 5 years, Hopkins would still be a game opponet for anybody.

Probably not P4P material, but something like what Glenn Johnson is now.

            You're probably alone.

Pavlik may not be THE best, but he still a world class fighter, and was expected to do what Trinidad and Tarver did NOT do, which was end Hopkins career by KO. Instead he was schooled and made to look like an amatauee.

You have to look how good Johnson was back then compared to Kelly now.

Bernard's win over Kelly isn't his best win. One of his best one sided beatdowns tho.

I have to admit I thought Kelly would win a close UD. I never thought Kelly would KO Bernard but wit B-Hop's stamina issues which showed up in the Calaghe fight it was hard seeing him win. Although Kelly's style is tailor made for some1 as good as B-Hop even at 43.

Hopkins' greatest win and performance came over Tito.

                    Yea, maybe.

But this thread isn't about that.

And I stated "arguably" in my post.

                      Ok, keep it open.

Bernard Hopkins beating the #1 p4p fighter in the world is his biggest achievement.
