Ok, Makes sense....
but when Floyd Mayweather Jr did it/does it then he's ducking the best out there? That's the double standard that I don't like when people talk about fighters. One guy can do it but the other can't? If anything Marquez deserves a bigger fight more than Pacquiao right now. Marquez stepped up & put down two top 10 light weights by KO. Manny beat Diaz at light weight & beat a drained Oscar at 147? some people will argue that Pacquiao past fights were tougher than Diaz and De La Hoya right?
But so was Floyd's before he got to 147 and on top of that the so called weak fighters he fought had titles and by beating them both, ultimately made him the recognize Welter Weight Champ (Something no other current fighter at 147 has done yet). So in actuality he earned the right to fight De La Hoya for 20MIL +& Hatton for 15MIL+ then do what he wants right? Pacquiao is following the same formula and now Marquez but Marquez actually has a good arguement being that he fought Pacquiao
to a stand still & now has beaten 2 top guys in a division Pacquiao didn't test himself in.
I know PBF has nothing to do with this thread but I felt I had to point out how some make excuses for fighters and crucify others. The bottom line is boxing is a sport but also a business, you start out from the bottom and work your way to the top and the whole goal is to become the man and get the best $ deals.
