Valero is not ready. Marquez would take him to school. Besides Marquez has bigger fish to fry. If there's no fight for Marquez in the upcoming months, then I say fuc* it fight Valero and shut him up. Team Mexico!

I feel what youre saying and thats why Im upset that my boy Guzman cant get a shot but I somewhat understand it. However, I think this situation is different because of the hype factor. Guzman and alot of other previous guys dont have the hype but Valero had alot of hype when he came onto the scene so I do think the reward would be just as high as the risk if he were to win that fight.

Guzman messed up his biggest shot by not making weight. Not that Campbell did any better before his last fight, but whatever. Now, I'm sure that Valero has a puncher's chance against JMM. Not because he is that good technically, cause he is terrible, Ponce de Leon-esque, but because he has raw power and Marquez is looking a lot more sloppy lately. Even if he is fighting bums, getting a record like that is impressive, most knockout artists get a few decisions while fighting bums early in their careers. Joe Louis, Felix Trinidad, Archie Moore and George Foreman, all won at least one decision before their 20th fight, Jack Dempsey and Wilfredo Gomez debuted with draws... Valero could be big if he develops some boxing skills. With that out of the way, Marquez should still hold the edge for that fight.

I like Valero's outgoing personality, and I heard he may have had his way w/ Goldie up @ Big Bear...I wanna give the guy a chance and see what he does w/ a top 10 guy. Going after big game like JMM is probably a big mistake @ this point.

No hi*******. And you're wrong. One of the many problems with Floyd is that he claims he is the best in these divisions without beating anyone that's worth a **** then cherry picks. Marquez can cherry pick for a fight or two because he went to 135 and BEAT THE TWO BEST GUYS THERE! Plus Manny is fighting the recognized 140lb king at his weight, not making Ricky chase him like Floyd did. Manny never said he was the best LW or WW either

Enough about Floyd. JMM shouldn't take the fight till Valero brings money to the table. I want to see that fight bad too. real bad, Valero only needs 1 shot to break you off. BUT he talks more than fights these days and needs to get his rep developed in the US. I think Marquez fights the winner of pac-hatton. Valero wins the LW tournament is style and the stage is set for a big fight for him late 2009 or early 2010.

So your saying that Floyd wasn't the S#!t at 130/135/140? & your also saying that Floyd never tried to fight Hatton, Cotto & Mosley? & your trying to say that people NEVER ducked him? So your trying to say that Floyd didn't fight the best but still became the recognized 147 pound fighter? You mean to say that he didn't fight who you thought might of had a chance to beat him but technically he did fight the best, he just didn't stick around to fight everyone but by then he was sitting pretty.

Manny Pacquiao fought a weak David Diaz and a shot Oscar De La Hoya & now Hatton? Floyd fought Oscar at his best weight & moved up to do it and KO'd an UNDEFEATED Ricky Hatton, Manny is fighting 2 opponents Floyd already defeated, so what are you saying? No one gets a pass from me because it is what it is and the $ plays a major role. So what if fighters say their the best, wouldn't you? You can't justify certain fighters and crucify the rest and that's my point.

Floyd is way more accomplished than any of them so if anyone gets a pass to cherry pick it's him. I agree with you on Juan Manuel Marquez. I definitely feel he should get some big pay days because he is a warrior and fights tough guys. Edwin Valero, would like to see more of him but you can't blame him for calling out the best guys if he feels he's the best.

I like the fact that Valero calls everyone out. No one has seen the distance with him.
fUGG it. maybe he will get a big name to fight him but it's too much of a risk for them.
Yeah, JMM is better technically, no argument. Yeah, Pac maybe faster. No argument.
They don't wanna deal with a huge left hand, and a big risk no reward fight with a guy who wasn't even been licensed to fight in the U.S. and still isn't in many states.

I like the fact that he calls out names.

Even if he loses, it's worth the risk for him. It's not for the other guys and I don't blame them. They got way better paydays on the horizon than he does.

Agree... I think for now... Valero is biting off more than he could chew...
Valero needs to fight real and quality fighters, before he starts calling out top notch fighters...

i dont think i have ever seen someone so wild with there punches. it reminds me of the video of charlie z hitting the bag with his wild punches, and then missing the bag and falling over. lol either way this is a joke and jmm takes it
