Who do you think Won Hopkins-Taylor 1

Taylor in the first fight actually had a good jab and bodywork that gave Bernard problems and Bernard was to inactive to win it.

However in the second fight, he negated pretty much everything Taylor did and the only rounds he lost were 2-6 because he took those off again. He should have gotten the decision though in this fight. Not really sure how anyone scores it for Taylor.

The jab was a problem in the first half. He negated it in the second half really good. The body punches were his problem, but it wasn't a Huge problem.
everybody tries to say that Taylor was faster, outlanded, and was more athletic. I feel different because taylor did have his edge on speed, but Hopkins had way better accuracy.

Taylor won because he won more rounds, the only way i see hopkins winning is if you give hime a 10-8 on the round he had Taylor really hurt. Bernard should have started sooner.

there were 2-3 rounds where taylor landed like 5-36 punches and Bernard would have 6-17 punches. Do you give those to taylor or Bernard?

because if You give him to taylor, he wins, but if you give them to bernard, he wins.

i understand. But all fights are CLOSE Decisions. And we are talking about a past prime Bernard Hopkins. Everybody is saying that Calzaghe and taylor would give Hopkins problems in his prime. I dont think so. For being past prime i think he did extremely well.

But i feel in his prime, he would handle jermain and Joe way better because he was younger, and let his hands go more.

He would knock both of them flat out.

it should have BEEN a draw because i cannot see how that judge gave the 12th round to Taylor.
If he would have*SHOULD HAVE* gave it to Hopkins, I think boxing would be different.

The fact is they STOLE Hopkins title on a close fight that Hopkins won. You shouldn't lose a title you had for twenty fights on a close fight that you won. BULL****!
