i understand. But all fights are CLOSE Decisions. And we are talking about a past prime Bernard Hopkins. Everybody is saying that Calzaghe and taylor would give Hopkins problems in his prime. I dont think so. For being past prime i think he did extremely well.

But i feel in his prime, he would handle jermain and Joe way better because he was younger, and let his hands go more.

Yeah, Hopkins didn't do much in some of the rounds and I gave Taylor 1 or 2 of the close rounds, it was a close fight though, I think I had it 115-113, can't remember exactly, haven't scored that fight in a while.

That one thing i hate when people say they outlanded him. I just watched Taylor 1 and the landed punch states were punch stats were

        TOTAL
        96-326 for hopkins 26%
        86-453 for Taylor 19 %

        Jabs
        18-109 for hopkins 17&
        36-264 for taylor 14%

        Power punches
        78-217 for hopkins 36%
        50-189 for Taylor 25%

Now he didn't outland him at all with most of his punches being jabs.

I've rewatched the fight a handful of times since it happened, and it looked even to me. Bhop won the 2nd imo.

it should have BEEN a draw because i cannot see how that judge gave the 12th round to Taylor.
If he would have*SHOULD HAVE* gave it to Hopkins, I think boxing would be different.

Now the second fight Bernard won.....

i didn't wanna do a poll for the 2nd one, because i believe any boxing fan with common knowledge would have Bernard Hopkins winning. But the first fight was very tight.
If Hopkins won those fights, how do you think the rest of his career would play out?

He probably would have actually retired if he fought Tarver after the 2 fights.

If he won both Taylor fights and retired after Tarver. Would people have him a higher ATG?

Taylor in the first fight actually had a good jab and bodywork that gave Bernard problems and Bernard was to inactive to win it.

However in the second fight, he negated pretty much everything Taylor did and the only rounds he lost were 2-6 because he took those off again. He should have gotten the decision though in this fight. Not really sure how anyone scores it for Taylor.
