Who do you think Won Hopkins-Taylor 1

I watched this fight when it happened around 4 years ago. I am a die hard Hopkins fan, and i saw him winning the fight and was pisssed when he lost.

I decided to watch the fight again because a lot of people were saying that Taylor gave Hopkins a lot of problems when they fought. That Hopkins didn't know what to do against Taylor.
Now lets be honest. Did Taylor really hurt Bernard Hopkins. Did you ever in your mind when the fight was on say that "OMG Hopkins cannot handle Jermain Taylor, Jermain is to fast for hopkins."?
To me Hopkins didn't have trouble like most people are saying on these forums. now this is how i had it

Hopkins hurt Taylor more times then Taylor hurt Hopkins. I dont even think Taylor hurt Hopkins bad.

Hopkins landed more

Taylor was the aggresive one, and hopkins made him pay for that the whole second half of the fight.

But after watching it again, i scored it a tie 114-114, because i feel that even tho Hopkins dominated the second half. I think he let Taylor win the a lot of rounds because he didn't throw enough punches.

True boxing fans know that in his prime hopkins would have had more offensive in the first half, and the whole fight would look like the second half. But it didn't and i could live with that.

But my point is that people are saying that Hopkins has trouble with fighters like Taylor, Calzaghe, Jones, etc. that are athletic.
I dont think so at all.
The Taylor fights, it didn't seem that Taylor was a style mismatch like many say. Hopkins controlled the tempo and landed more punches, even tho Taylor threw more.

The Calzaghe fight is different because he was 43, and it was STILL a close fight.

How did you score Hopkins-Taylor 1???????

Hopkins easy. Taylor was hitting air then got his butt kicked all over the placed at the end!

I think I had Taylor edging it, Hopkins just started too late IMO.

Hopkins started late bot fights, he lost both and he lost to Calzaghe too.

Hopkins problem is that he doesnt throw punches, and Taylor and Calzaghe outlanded him and out threw him.

There is no way that he did enough early to win that fight..... He came on late, but I think I had the fight 8-4 or 7-5....

Now the second fight Bernard won.....

I think I had Taylor edging it, Hopkins just started too late IMO.

4 years ago i couldn't see Taylor winning. But now i can see the argument of him winning. In rounds i seen Taylor win, Hopkins didn't do nothing. And some rounds are close in my opinion, and it matters how you score the rounds.
