Yeah. What's with the orange posts? Are you trying to stand out from everyone else?

i didn't see anything wrong with it. "protect yourself at ALL times." that's probably one of the reasons why you can't touch gloves in the amateurs. to the person that said something along the lines of, "it's not a fight, it's a boxing match with rules." ok, true. i consider it fighting, but there are definitely rules. but there are no rules that say you have to touch gloves in the middle of a round.

kirkland probably didn't even realize what julio was doing. he was just fighting. that's what fighters do. i actually have more of a problem with the guy who wants to touch gloves. 1 guy wants to fight, the other guy wants to play patty cake. everyone's there to see a fight, so how can you fault the guy who wants to fight?

Yeah, its a boxing match. As in an honorable contest between two well trained warriors, its not a streetfight between a couple of pieces of trash.
Make all the excuses you want, that was a ***ing TRASHY thing to do. I have not respect for Kirkland, he is a ****** little punk and I cant wait for Perro to put him in check.

From the looks of it what we had there was a failure to communicate. After the clench the ref said something along the lines of "alright lets go", and Kirkland threw a punch and Julio put his glove out while he may have heard the ref say this but as far as I know Julio doesn't speak english.

wow. really? because of 1 very minor, and obviously controversial incident you have no respect for him? and what does being from the ****** have to do with it?

i agree angulo would beat him, but damn, those are some harsh words. kirkland seems like an honest fighter and an honest dude to me. limited but exciting.

The ref said "box" so that's why he didn't take a point away. But it was disrespectful.

It's a fight and fighters get in a zone. But, hey, what goes around, comes around. Maybe not right away, but sooner or later, somewhere down the line...

Having said that, I want to see Kirkland fight again.

Yeah maybe a bit harsh, I have to admit that if it was a mistake I dont mean those things. There is just something about dishonorable conduct in combat that pisses me off so bad. And I dont really mean ******, I guess I really meant classless.
I come from a traditional martial arts backround, I believe in a certain amount of respect and honor, and to throw a punch at a man who is offering you his glove is cowardly, I dont care what the circumstances.

I like Kirkland and his trainer. Would love to see him against Williams.
