I don't think Kirkland is a scumbag, I think that was a questionable move. He'll mature.
Careful, dude, you're dealing with Internet hardmen here.

I don't know about you, but when I talk boxing with anyone, we always refer to it, as a fight.

"Hey, are you going to watch the fight tonight?"

      or

"Excuse me sire, will you be enjoying your evening with visual stimulation by tonights boxing matches?"

      They're fighters, in a fight.

You sound like that crybaby, Stinky Wright, "this is boxing not knockouts".
so since it is a fight.. anything goes right? back hands, kneeing, headbutts, hell why not just bring a beer bottle into the ring and crack it over someone's head.

Dude, its a ****ing fight. When people are in the ring trying to bash your head in, the first thing you think about is giving them respect?

Anyone trying to give me a loss and possibly take money out of my pocket is enemy number one in the ring.

That respect **** just gets your head smashed.

All of this slapping hands in the ring lately is on some corny style.

there is no justifying it, he has been in enough boxing fights to know when someone puts their gloves up you tap it not hit him with a left hook.

I know technically it was fair play, but there's ring etiquette and that was sort of a dirtbag move.
kirkland is in a different place when he fights... a brutal, vicious, angry place

If you can point to anywhere where a ref said it was ok, fine by me.

But refs and commissions don't allow that.

However, the ref instructed the fighters to continue.

Kirkland did, and Julio kept up with the latest tradition of slapping hands.

**** that. This isn't a game of bridge.

You want respect from me in sporting competition,

lets do it after the game or event where I'll gladly give you your respects.

Game time is exactly that, the time to beat your opponent.

Haha yea I know. I'm not totally judging Kirkland and calling him dirty, I just didn't like that. I'm a big fan of the mutual respect in the ring.

Apparently there are some e-tough guys that are too hard for that sort of thing.

too sissified? didn't u just get done saying it was tradition? because it is.. and it has always been as far as I can remember.
anyway, that's not the point.. the point is that the ref was still holding Julio back.
if the ref is in the mix seperating you, you can't hit during the brake FACT.

Sorry kid, but it has nothing to do with being e tough. You just don't like my stance, so you feel the need to have to downplay my line of thinking because it doesn't suit your feelings.

I don't get on the internet to act tough or be hard. I'm voicing my opinion like anyone else. You can't counter the argument, so instead you resort to labeling me as e tough.

whenever you see james kirkland in the ring, you know he's there TO FIGHT, not to tap gloves, or be friendly or all that ****, this is BOXING.
