    Sweet Pea > Roy Jones

boxers who's achievments are spread over two decades (or more, i guess) seem to be overlooked by this logic also

Jones is Overatted and HOpkins is greater. If he fought Roy Jones again he would have ***** Slapped him around.

Whitaker clearly achieved more than Jones and had the more impressive career (basis enough to be ranked well above him)

and i always thought he was the better pound-for-pound fighter too

While I agree with you, Hopkins wouldn't have "***** slapped" him around. The way I see it is Roy defeated two great fighters (Toney and Hopkins) and Bernard defeated five great fighters(Trinidad, De la Hoya, Tarver, Wright, Pavlik). Therefore Bernard is higher than Roy on the ATG list

Well i think Roy Jones is the best thing since sliced bread. There's an argument for that too.

voted 31-40 but on second thoughts i dont see why he couldnt be top 15 or so.

truly one of the most dominating fighters of all time.

alright we'll agree to disagree. i never really bought into the Jones hype personally (though that doesn't mean i think he's anything less than great - just less than what a lot of other people seem to think)

i did exaggerate it, but i think he would have beaten Jones in a decision. But if he caught him, it could have been a Knock Out.

In the first fight, many try to make it seem like Jones schooled Hopkins in the fight. I watched it, and it wasn't nothing like that. If was a chest match, and Jones didn't manhandle Hopkins at all. Hopkins in the last couple rounds figured out Jones.
That fight made Hopkins into what he is today. A Beast on a mission. He fought harder, smarter, and trained harder. Thats why Jones didn't want non of him.
