You would think Floyd was a career welterweight…When he was a weltherweight he was the smallest one in the division…Can somebody name 1 welterweight Floyd was bigger than when he was in the division..???


So When people say Floyd needs to beat a real WW and stop fighting on smaller guys?

Floyd's just slightly bigger built. Pac and JMM could be formidable at most at 140, but that still has to be proven. 147 is stretching it for those guys where as Floyd would still be dominant at 147 and should still be effective at 154 even coming into the fight underweight. That's how good Floyd is, but he'll have the advantage in size against Pac and JMM. People would probably forgive him taking on Pac because a lot of them want to see it happen.

Hatton's got no excuse. They keep on emphasizing how a strong and big 140 punder he is that walks around a virtual cruiserweight. He was forced back into his comfort zone after only a brief foray one division north.

He's not a natural WW, but he's gradually grown larger throughout his career and he chose to move to 147, no one forced him.

The main issue I have with Floyd at WW is the fact that he claims he beats anyone 154 and under, but avoids the main challenges.

It's not even the fact that any of those guys can beat Floyd (though I believe a couple have a very good chance), it's just that Boxing fans would LOVE to see these encounters just to see Floyd's skills against the toughest Welters. IMO he's game, so why not make it happen?

And your point is what exactly?

Mayweather has the skills to compete in the WW division. Its not as if he'll be KTFO after one round. He might be on the small side, but he's certainly capable of fighting at that weight.
