It's amazing that Ruiz can lose 3 out of your last 6 and be in line for a championship.
If Toney wasn't caught for steroids, it would've be 4 out of his last 6.

How do 3 losses and beating McCline get you anything?
I thought wins were supposed to.

Connections to powerful promoters. Without them, Ruiz is just another talentless palooka fighting on the regional circuit. With them, he gets to violate the rules of the sport blatantly to "win" fights he wouldn't otherwise win, and get title shot after title shot he doesn't deserve.

Ruiz is the POSTER BOY for boxing corruption.

Not only that, he shamelessly overacted to force bogus "low blow" calls in several fights. Ruiz is a classic example of a fighter who got where he did because of connections and corruption.
I respect your opinion but win or lose how many of todays HWs have this decent resume of opponents? Valuev twice, mccline, chagaev, toney,Rahman, golota, oquendo, jonesjr.,kirk Jonson,Holyfield 3times,tua,& tony tucker.he doesn't fight stiffs & ducks no one win or lose & I've said it before he'll go to hostile territory with no hesitation.don king or not.name one up & comer that has done that or will do that.there is NONE!

fighting in Germany & Russia several times is regional? I have to disagree with you on that one.look at his bio on where he has fought.

I don't dispute he has a good resume on the whole, and he's pretty talented. HE Just has not won lately.
You have to win fights to get title shots not lose them.

Ruiz would knock Haye and Arreola TFO.

This is completely legitimate and deserved and I applaud the WBA.

did you watch the ruiz vs chagaev & valuev fight? All in Germany with very questionable decisions.I think he WON all 3.he's more worthy than haye(1 win at HW vs Barrett who floored him twice)& arreola who beat travis walker.well see about him when he fights mccline in April.ruiz BEAT mccline in November in a wbc eliminator in MEXICO.well find out if arreola is a contender or pretender.as for haye give me one good reason other than his English popularity that he deserves a immediate title shot.I don't really enjoy watching ruiz but his credibility is proven not like arreola/haye.haye did get ko'd at cruiseweight & has yet to be hit by a big heavyweight.
