I've always wondered why Ruiz was never an option as an opponent for Wladimir Klitschko. If anyone could dominate and KO Ruiz, it would probably be one of the Klitschko brothers...

Also, to Ruiz's credit, he would show up to this fight and try to win; unlike several of Wlad's past opponents.

So true. If you want to be rid of Ruiz or Klitschko for good, put them in against each other. Whoever loses, we win.

What's with the revolving door of contenders? The WBA is the biggest most corrupt joke out of all of the sanctioning bodies (and that's saying something). Seriously does anyone want to see another Ruiz fight? The only reason I want to see Valuev-Chagaev II is so Valuev can get beat up.

                Evander Holyfield is more deserving.

                And that's saying something.

ruiz has fought 10 times better competition than either haye or arreola,so why not ruiz? He won the eliminator vs mccline.so many hw duck ruiz because he can make anyone look bad with his huggiebear style.I think he still can beat 80% of the hw division.haye would probably like ruiz hugging him from the side stories I hear about.these so call next generation should get past ruiz before they get their shots at a title.ruiz earned every fight he's had.he's always fought on the road in hotile territory which none of these new so called contender will ever do...his fights are ugly but his resume of opponents is far superior to any of the next fleet of HWs.

I use to hate ruiz but I've seen him fight so many guys on the road in hostile territory I grew to respecting him(even thou I wanted to turn off my tv)that's why he's still around.I think he's been on the short end of many decisions I thought he won.his style is not crowd pleasing but it's effective.norm stone was hilarious!I hope he's back with him.

Ruiz "earned" every fight he had?? Please. He got title shots because of his connection with Don King, and he was allowed to hold excessively to "win" fights he would never have won on the basis of his limited boxing "ability." Not only that, he shamelessly overacted to force bogus "low blow" calls in several fights. Ruiz is a classic example of a fighter who got where he did because of connections and corruption.
