Cotto's Options Come Down To Clottey, Cintron, Berto

I hope it's Cotto / Cintron. You can all say what you like but Cintron is the only real threat to Cotto. On paper, Cotto is the favorite against all of these opponents but Cintron is the only one with a valid chance of beating him. With one punch, Cintron can change a fight. Berto and Clottey would also be game but I can't really see either of them with even a punchers chance of winning. Add to this the PR flavor of the weekend, and I'd love to have 2 top PR welters ****ing it out at the Garden. I hope Cotto will extend the opportunity to Cintron.

You can't be serious. Cintron more of a threat than Clottey? He does have a punchers chance at winning though, but I just don't see why he even deserves a fight with Cotto.

ur crazy bro. Cintron has little to none following. Cintron is mentally weak and it would be an easy night for cotto. Clottey CAN fight, CAN punch, Can take a punch, HAS a title, HAS a better following, Clottey IS from TR and it would be an easier match to set up and would make everyone more money.

I agree, I think of the two Clottey will give Cotto more problems. He's got a thick coat and won't be bothered so much with Cotto's body shots, his defense is elite and will counter and hit Cotto at will. Berto-Cotto might be more exciting since Berto is so damn explosive but we all saw how Collazo took the wind out of Berto with subpar body shots, a good body puncher like Cotto will have a field day with Berto's midsection. I saw give Clottey the fight, he deserves it and should win it.

As much as I am not a Cotto fan I definitely have to agree. Cotto would beat Berto early and the fight would probably last about 7Rds if not sooner. Watching that Collazo fight I saw how vulnerable Andre Berto is & Cotto would pick him apart.

Berto has power but as we saw it is not enough to do one punch damage and he tends to throw one power punch at a time & puts everything in his punches each time he swings and gets winded down the stretch.

Cotto would be too strong for him but I wouldn't mind seeing that fight but the one that makes sense to me is Cotto/Clottey. Out of all the 3 fighters he has to choose from Clottey is the most durable and should be the hardest test for Cotto.
