ATG list eh? I dont know how to rank these boxers if their not on my era. I will just choose ATGs from my lifetime. If that's the case, Mayweather must crack the top 15, am 20 y.o.

So where do you put Joe's "0" in the ATG list.

I think we all know that by now! lol

I'd put him somewhere between 50 and 75. On skills/potential, he should crack the top 50, but you have to account for the fact that the man avoided so many dangerous fighters and retired in his prime. That is not something that qualifies for ATG status.

When Floyd retired the man at 147 people wanted to see him fight Cotto. Paul Williams was the only other name at 147 since he beat Margarito and Quintana. Outside of Floyd at 147 it was Paul and Cotto IMO.

And Floyd beat the WBC lineal champ at 147 when he entered the division. Before Cotto and P.Will it was Baldomir & Judah.

People have finally started to appreciate Floyd Mayweather Jr. a little more. The fact his loud mouth isn't around anymore certainly hasn't hurt this.

There have been big challenges at 140, 147 and 154 that Floyd could have taken. ATGs would have, that's all I'm saying. For example, WW Ray Leonard come out of retirement after only fighting once in 5 years to challenge the best MW of all time. That is something ATGs do. I just doing see Floyd having that extra big of "greatness", for lack of a better word
