LOL Have to disagree with you on several points here. The first is that long layoffs are actually detremental to boxers. All boxers will tell you that, so picking a strong challenger off the bat is almost never done by boxers coming of a long layoff. One fact that I also want to make clear is that the WBO has Jennings ranked for a title bout so if Cotto wanted to comeback for a title he had little choice in the matter, as it could have been Jennings vs. another nobody for the title and ended up giving Jennings a fight later in time against a recognized fighter anyway. That's just the way the alphabet titles work. As far as Cotto goes his vulnerability in the ring is actually one of the reasons many people like him as a boxer. He's not perfect but he always comes to win and to entertain and gives the fans a good show. Pacman, Barrera, and most of the guys in the P4P rankings now have been touchable....does that mean that they aren't good either. The fact is that Cotto is a geat boxer with excepional skill and gives fans what they want which is KOs.

I don't agree. Antonio Margarito came back from a long layoff and fought Sugar Shane Mosley who's by far not an easy challenge. Explain Miguel Cotto fighting Alfonso Gomez before fighting Antonio Margarito? I'm not buying it fam but I do respect how you came across in your post. I think Cotto is good but not great and that's my point. Clearly he has showed BIG holes in his fight game when Antonio Margarito pressured him & he couldn't adapt once his power became not a factor in the ring. Jennings was ranked for a mandatory for Cotto? Did he even fight out here before? Clottey has a title at 147. Cotto team was contemplating Kermit Cintron but Arum cooked up Jennings. Cotto is entertaining but I am not sold on him being this wrecking ball like many claim. I saw him fold in that Margarito fight. With all of his skill he should have put up a better fight (With Exception to the Plaster)

I agree That Cotto would most likely beat Berto & has a chance against Clottey if Clottey doesn't bring the fight to Cotto. In my opinion the Tattoo's do look ******. Cotto is in a good position to be the best beating Gomez then Getting beat by Margarito then coming back to beat Jennings then possibly avoided Mosley (a Champ at 147) & Joshua Clottey (A champ at 147) & fighting Kermit Cintron who just got beat Twice in the same fight? If I was Cotto I wouldn't even give Cintron a shot. If Cotto is bad ass like you make him out to be then he would tell Arum he wants Clottey if Mosley is too much of a risk for him. Miguel won a 12 UD against Mosley which some dispute but most agree with...When he beat Sugar...he got absolutley no credit for doing so...Shane was over the hill...A shell of his former self...He faught the wrong fight...It was embarrasing for Miguel to even go 12 rounds with a 35 year old fighter...ect ect....What i'm trying to say is that for people with agenda against the man he will never accomplish anything...

If Miguel fights Mosley...Mosley's is old...If Miguel takes a tune up he's coddled...If Miguel Doesnt call out any fighters he's a House Man...If he does call out fighters... Hey man I understand your point. In my opinion I think that Tats look ****** but hey who cares. I want to see if Miguel is really back and fight Clottey in his next fight. Forget all the politics & tricks! Don't think it will be Mosley anyway because Mosley said he won't fight Miguel in NY only on the West Coast. Joshua Clottey makes the most sense because he has a title at 147. People are forgetting that Andre Berto wants some. That can be another easy fight for Cotto and he can walk away with another title.
