I see his "reasons" as excuses and a way to salvage some respect. Excuses are excuses. The only time I see them as genuine reasons is if a fighter is suffering with an injury. Weight excuses don't wash with me. These are professional athletes who pay massive amounts of money for top-class dietitians, and who have been in the game long enough to know better. Can't make the weight? Well then, stop being a greedy bastard and fighting only for a payday. Turn the fight down and save your reputation instead.
lets think about this tho....... how lng had odlh had to let the loss sit in his mind..... he sits there and beat himself up saying to himself " he doesnt hit hard" or " i hurt him"
even tho both of these are clearly not the case. Its fine for him to think these thing dont get me wrong, but for him to say it publicly, it shows a true lack of class imo.

with the hatton fight nearing, it seems like he trying to motavate his guy!

Morales' last 10 fights. We're talking 130 to 135 here. No big deal at all. Morales never came into any fight higher than 135.

All the talk of Morales looking like he was dying is absolute crap if you ask me. Again... can't make the weight? Don't take the fight. Is it really worth the risk of being knocked out?
if it's crap go find the weigh in pictures for the pac morales rematch. why didn't manny just fight erik at 135 he just finished fighting at 147

Yes, not disagreeing that you could be right. I also agree it shows a lack of class on Oscar's part to make excuses now, when at the time, he praised Pacquiao and said he deserved all the praise he gets for being a brilliant fighter. All excuses regarding weight go right out of the window when you sign that contract.

exactly my point, why should i believe paquiao can beat all these great ww when not even hatton can beat ww and he has good wins above 130 like tszyu manny has a david diaz win and the win over oscar which is kind of an overrated win

Oscar is BSing. Come on, DLH was suppose to walk over Pac. This was suppose tobe the biggest mis-match in boxing. But what happened? Pac overcame the odds and whooped DLH's ass for his greedyness and picking on small fighters. Nobody should dis-credit Pac's win. He worked hard and came through, he deserves the respect in the world to do what he'sd one. DLH is just bitter really he got beat by a smaller fighter who owned his ass into retirement.

manny did, so if manny was able to make 135 what was the point of makin erik come down in weight? thats that bernard hopkins **** try to get any and every advantage you can over your opponent

What the heck are you talking about? Pacquiao last fought Morales in 2006. He had never been up to 147 at that point. He didn't even go to 135 until a year after the Morales fight.

EDIT: In fact it was over a year. 19 months, to be exact.
