Even with todays ****ty rates 2.5 mil euros is slightly over 3mil. So they offered Sturm more money then Pavlik got aginst Bhop to fight AA and he didnt. Now I dont know what offeres are currently flying around but I don't see why they couldnt put up the same or bigger numbers to get Pavlik in Germany.

i agree bat. we all know arum wants to milk pavlik, just like he does everyone else.
i see the next 2 fights as what they are confidence builders after a schooling. hopefully arum will do the right thing and make a good fight for the kid, and the fans. none of this still changes the fact though that aa has been a strap holder longer, yet has fought miranda for his high point. win or lose taylor 2x, and bhop pisses on mirandax2. if people are gonna get pissy about pavlik's resume they best look at the other, longer titled mw strap holders. as hitman stated, sturm, and aa live in the same freakin area, and can't make a damn fight. pathetic.

No question. Resuméewise Pavlik >> Abraham. It's just a fact that it's easier getting name opponents when you're backed by HBO.

It's really not relevant who has held the strap longer as it's now where talking. AA travelled to the states to rematch Miranda who was heavily favored to win by the yanks on this board. AA made the most of this opportunity and won in destructive fashion despite fighting with 2 broken ribs. Surely he proved that he's willing and able to take on anybody anywhere.

The way I see it it's ok for Pavlik to fight a mediocre opponent after the Taylor fights. Also it's ok to fight Whobio to regain his confidence after the Hopkins schooling but to me it's hugely dissapointing lining up John 'Bloody' Duddy after Whobio when there's 2 brilliant opponents waiting in the wings.

Cory Spinks and Kassim Ouma where meaningless?

Taylor fought Bhop 2x, Winky, Pavlik 2x Lacy. He gets a couple free passes

we all know that there are 2 sides to every story, and all promoters are grimey as hell. there is no way of knowing who is truthful, and who is not. it may be sturm's, it may be arthurs fault. no way to tell who's full of ****.

doubt you will see pavlik go to germany. the judging is even worse than vegas ffs. plus pavlik is the champ, he has the homecourt advantage i'd figure. i am confident this fight will happen around next fall. we all just want it yesterday. maybe they are just creating even more of a demand.

yeah i remember, and if it's really true he's a punk. no question about that. don't understand why though, he has a shot to win if he could take the power. he is a superior boxer to both arthur, and pavlik. i think he could give them good fights.

That is not arthurs fault at all, sturm is the one is avoiding AT ALL COSTS a fight with pavlik. Sturm was the one who called arthur out, arthur agrees to give him the biggest payday of his life and all of a sudden he his no where to be found? Do you agree?

people always mention that sturm avoided abraham but they dont understand that abraham wanted the bigger purse. sturms team said hell no were not taking the shorter purse. and they did that with good reason. and sturms team has already stated that they are going to try and pursue a fight with pavlik in the summer.

if abraham really wants to unify with sturm why wont he be realistic and take the shorter purse???

overall no, but pavlik could make most of the purse vs duddy while i'm sure arthur would get alot more. which in the end means more $ for jackass arum.
