  • Arthur Abraham's Team Begins To Bait Kelly Pavlik

Undefeated IBF middleweight champion King Arthur Abraham and manager Wilfried Sauerland today admitted their surprise at Jack Loew´s most recent remarks in the press. Kelly Pavlik´s trainer had told reporters that his camp has yet to receive a response from Team Sauerland regarding a potential unification clash - a clash that could take place either in the United States or in Germany. Staging the showdown between the two champions is exactly what Wilfried Sauerland intends to do. In fact, he has been trying to set something up for months. “We were very surprised to read Jack Loew´s comments,” Sauerland said. “He must be living on a different planet. Last spring we have picked up negotiations with Pavlik´s promoters Top Rank. We have also been in constant touch with HBO and Showtime. However, in the last couple of months, Top Rank seemed to have lost their interest in a unification. [details]

Abraham would DESTROY Pavlik. I don't see Pavlik winning this fight at all. If he can't beat an old hugging cheater like Hopkins, he aint beating Abraham who will actually throw more than 10 punches per round.

you might want to learn a little bit about boxing before making statements like that. you might also want to watch bhop-pavlik, bhop wasnt exactly holding for 3 minutes

Did that Pavlik loss to Hopkins scare his people that much? I would love to see this fight and I think a lot of people would as well. I lost some love for Joe because he went with Jones Jr. over Pavlik, but to see Top Rank talk about Duddy getting a fight with Pavlik and not Abraham upsets me even more. Or is Pavlik just really unsure of himself now after thinking he was unbeatable? I hope Pavlik says he wants Abraham, and starts taking the bigger fights for credibility and not money.

I cannot believe Arum openly said that they have to think about Pavlik's pockets as first priority.
