To answer you as far as accomplishment goes, its a very tough call. I could probably be convinced either way.

On a side note, as far as Bert Sugar goes, he is a great read, but he bases alot of his rankings on perception of fighters, I mean I read his 100 Greatest of All Time book (BTW it had 10000000 typos, who the hell edits for that man) and there were lots of guys who got their rankings based more on reputation of their ring skill than by their actual records. I am not advocating one or another, just saying both figure in, especially when you are talking the elite of the elite.
You noticed all the typos too?

Thats right, because Ali was smart just like Roy.

Roy is Ali with more speed better power, and more creative combinations.

        Ali's power is underrated.

Roy Jones was a freak of nature in his prime, but when he slipped just a little bit he did not look like a world beater in his first Tarver fight, even though he still had a lot in the tank then. All I'm saying is that what gives Bernard the edge IMO is the fact that he has been consistant all through his career even when he is so far out of his prime he couldnt see it in the rear view mirror.

BTW I too believe that P4p Roy Jones was fater than Ali, but the speed and lightning quick combos Ali had while he was in his prime was astonishing for a 200+ lb man.

Roy Jones to me was a good fighter, but is ****in overrated by the world of boxing. Okay, he beat Bernard Hopkins and James Toney. But when Hopkins wants a rematch, Jones says he is to big, or bernard aint in his class. Then he would fight a sorry ass Ruiz. When Hopkins fought Trinidad, Jones said he would gladely fight the winner. I guess he thought Trinidad would win. Hopkins then Dominated the fight and Jones went running into a cave.
He saw how much better Hopkins got throughout the years and **** his pants.
Name fights that Roy Jones has had with great fighter that everybody will mention.
Hopkins has... Pavlik, Wright, Taylor, Trinidad, DLH, Tarver, and if you wanna add CalSLappy

Jones has Hopkins, Toney, and Calzaghe. IF you wanna add the Trinidad fight you can.

Hopkins to me will always be the better all around fighter.

Hopkins should be regarded as better in my opinion, considering what he has accomplished at such an advanced age (Moore is the only other fighter in the history of the sport with this claim). Jones was unquestionably more talented though, perhaps the most athletic fighter ever.
