    Talent: Roy

Accomplishments: Probably Bernard, but it's close.

Skillwise it's Hopkins, accomplishments probably Jones, first fighter to win a middleweight title and win a heavyweight title in over 100 years clinches it for him IMO even though it was against John Ruiz.

          Roy Jones Jr.

He was one of the most dominating forces the sport has ever seen at his best. He was on a different level than Hopkins in his prime.

Bernard is a great fighter, one of my favorite all-time, but Roy was special. Once in a lifetime fighter.

Roy, I think will be remembered by the public as the better fighter.

I think the two are very close... Obviously you know my pick... but its still close... I think a lot of people look at the fact that roy got knocked out and ended in his mid 30's and bernard has gone on to successfully fight into his 40's, and because of that.. they just think Bernard has had the better career...

My rebuttal is... Roy already accomplished his legacy by the time he was KOed...

                  ROY > 20's mid 30's
                  Bernard> 30's Early 40's

The other thing I do look at is... Roy has moved UP to always fight his competition and was usually the smaller guy... where as many of Bernards wins are against guys coming UP to beat him.

But that doesnt mean I think its a no brainer... If someone says bernard, I can more then understand.

The problem is Roy built his legacy with impressive wins over schoolteachers and bin men, where hopkins has beaten the best there is.
