    1) both guys weight about the same so there's no real weight advantage or disadvantage, save maybe the fact that campbell didn't kill himself to make 135, which would put him at a disadvantage.

    2) although the belts are not on the line, this should still be a good fight

    3) nate wont get to cash in on his belts at 135. most lightweights were already ducking him and now they have no reason to fight him. Mab/Amir winner wont fight him. JMM/Diaz winner wont fight him. no named 135 lber will fight him without the belts.

    4) I dont think nate will get a shot at the big names at 140 and he will have to work his way up the 140 lbs division to even get a shot at the titlists there like bradley and holt and urango.

wtf? youd figure loosing 9.2 lbs is easier than hell. mosley had to loose 13 lbs for margarito and hes 37, not to mention all the wars his body's been through.

bull****. so you're telling me if a 130lber fights a 135lber, there's no advantage for the 135lber because they "weigh about the same"? wow, this forum continues to shock me every day

I stated because they were moving up in weight and had no status in their new weightclass but still got title shots. You're being a little absurd if you think nobody of major significance will fight Campbell @140.

Hitman is talking about Funeka, not Campbell. Funeka made weight.
He had laid out how this fight benefits Funeka.

but Mosley's professional, and Campbell is a guy who never took this sport seriously for 2 fights in a row

I've agreed that it's worth it for Funeka to fight and win. If he loses, no big deal since Campbell had an advantage. I am in total agreement that the fight makes sense for Funeka, and I apologize if I haven't made that clear.

No, but that's not the point.

You were saying this fight was pointless for Funeka to go through with, which is nuts.

Whether he wins or loses he is better off fighting than not fighting, same goes for Campbell.

Edit: I see your above post but what you said originally was (paraphrase) "the fight is pointless for anyone not names Nate Campbell"

Maybe you're fairly new to boxing, but 3 pounds is the world on weigh in day.

Castillo couldn't drop Corrales until 10 rounds were through in their first fight but dominated and KO'd him in 4 in the rematch and that was about 3.5 pounds if I remember correctly. So yes it is a HUGE advantage.
That's one example. There are myriad examples to the contrary. You're makin' a mountain out of a molehill. But whatever. Maybe you're fairly new to boxing...
