I dont know, should be a good fight. Depends on how much the Marg bout took out of Cotto, we wont know for sure in his next fight with *****cat Jennings, but if he looks great and puts this dude away early like we all expect, then i think Berto would be in a world of trouble if he fought Cotto. The fact that Berto was hurt so many times to the body against Collazo tells me Cotto would murder this kid.....Comment

Arum only refuses to do business with Haymon if it concerns a Margarito rematch with Williams. I guess it no longer matters though.Comment

Berto is shaping up to be an incredible fighter, but he isn't ready for Cotto. Considering that he doesn't have the size and strength to 'beat down' Miguel Cotto, he'd be in for a what would probably turn into a lopsided pummelling. I think he can still establish a great reputation and rack up some legit wins without having to step to Cotto or Mosley for that matter.
IMO,

BoxingScene.com was informed by promoter Lou DiBella that WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (24-0, 19KOs) is still willing to replace Antonio Margarito, and take on Miguel Cotto (32-1, 26KOs) in a unification bout on June 13. Top Rank's plan for a Margarito-Cotto rematch were sidelined on Tuesday when the California State Athletic Commission made a ruling to revoke Margarito's boxing license, which puts him on the shelf for at least one year in the United States. Margarito's license was revoked after the CSAC held a hearing to discuss the plaster-like substance that was found in his hand wraps prior to stepping in the ring with Shane Mosley on January 24.
