Berto Still Willing To Unify With Cotto on June 13

Cotto would have a belt but hes not champ, Mosley is. Williams would fight Mosley before Cotto anyday. Williams is in higher weight classes now, so hes out the WW picture.

I'll give you the fact that the winner wouldn't be the champ, but it would definitely make an argument for who was the #1 WW in the sport. Some WW champ needs to give Williams a shot, they already have tried to freeze him out, but he can easily make WW and competes at 147 to 160.

williams has said he would return to ww to fight any of these guys,he already had offered to fight cotto,which cotto said nothing,,,williams beats all of these guys,,,as for berto,i'm starting to think after his last fight he's not all that,seems he can't take a punch and his conditioning is bad,,,he would lose to cotto and mosley

i'd like to see a unification. I don't think it'd be smart for berto to step up to a fighter at the level cotto yet. It'd be good for cotto. Berto is good opposition and it would be good to see how he's bounced back although i think he's fine.

Berto is shaping up to be an incredible fighter, but he isn't ready for Cotto. Considering that he doesn't have the size and strength to 'beat down' Miguel Cotto, he'd be in for a what would probably turn into a lopsided pummelling. I think he can still establish a great reputation and rack up some legit wins without having to step to Cotto or Mosley for that matter.

what do you mean he doesnt have the size or strength to beat down Cotto?? Berto and Cotto or like the same height, both have great power, maybe Cotto has a little bit more. I think there is no way this is one sided. Berto is faster than Cotto, speed is a great factor. Cotto has supspect defense like Berto, and Cotto is a sucker for a uppercut. Margarito did use loaded hand wraps but he was hiting Cotto with the slowest uppercuts I've seen in years, if Berto hit Cotto with 1 of his uppercuts then he could drop. I think it would be a war, and can go to either man. I think Berto pulls it out though.

Putting Berto in with a Cotto who's on a path this year of redemption is BAAAAD NEWSSSS for Berto, and I like Berto...but his defense is still very suspect and though he's shown he can take a punch, Cotto would break him down round by round with Berto putting up a good fight.

I dont know about all that. I thought the Mosley fight was a draw ( but wont argue 7-5 for Cotto) and Judah was butsing that face up till he got hit in the nuts twice. so we'll see...

I doubt Cotto would have an easy time considering he lost to a bum named Margarito and considering the fact that Berto is a faster fighter with good boxing skills.

Don`t let the Collazo fight foll you.Collazo is a solid fighter who would give Cotto a lot of problems.Cotto is good but not great.No Quality fighter should lose to a fighter like Margarito.Loaded gloves or not.

Berto needs to rematch Collazo before he does anything else. After that, I got no problem wit him makin a unification fight if he wins it.

Bertos camp are only talking about this fight, because they think Cotto is seriously damage after the Margo fight.They think Berto will win because of that and that he they will catch on a big name fighter. I bet that after cotto ****s Jennings in 3 rounds, they will change their mind very quickly!!!!!!!!!!!
