Berto Still Willing To Unify With Cotto on June 13

Berto is obviously a more dangerous fighter than Pacman. Perhaps Manny can be harder to beat, but if Cotto beats him it wont do much for him in the meaning that Berto hasn't beaten any great fighters. Plus is Cotto looking for a big fight he can only get hurt fighting with Berto. Cotto took some big punishment in the Margarito fight. He might apear healed, but you dont know how he really is untill he takes some hits. If theres no other good options than he should consider fighting him.

Cotto would have a belt but hes not champ, Mosley is. Williams would fight Mosley before Cotto anyday. Williams is in higher weight classes now, so hes out the WW picture.

the only reason berto is pushing for this fight is because of the money that represents to him..

In Rafeal's notebook he says that Mosley wants Cotto, but he definitely won't fight in NY. I can't say I blame him at all, but that may make Berto the favorite for Cotto's next opponent if Cotto has his heart set on that date.

It seems out of character for Shane. I mean I totally understand him not wanting to fight in MSG. But he's acting as if he should be calling all shots now and I don't see it that way. Cotto has a head to head win over Shane...nothing Shane did to Tony could change that.

I agree. The problem is, I think Cotto has more leverage because he's not quite as desperate. At Mosley's age, he only wants huge money fights. Where Cotto at this stage, could be content fighting Berto, Mosley only wants Hatton,Pac,Floyd, or Cotto. Floyd already turned him down, and if I was Mosley I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Pac or Hatton to fight him. After that who else is there? I could see Cotto fighting Berto in June, and than fighting Mosley while Mosley just waits for the Cotto fight(assuming Cotto beats Berto which isn't a given.)
