Id like a clear answer from ANYONE. Was it Plaster of Paris? and what was illegal..

The substance was sent to a lab to determine exactly what it is. It will take time for them to do the lab work.

The suspension shows that they are serious about it and do believe that it was intentional and illegal.

Also consider that the California board that suspended him does not benefit in any way from doing so or has any financial interest in Margo either way.

I think that alone is enough proof of Margo and his trainer's guilt but some people will always defend Margo to the death and use quotes from Bob Arum (who has a financial interest in Margo) to back their arguments.

I am sure that even when the lab work comes back showing proof of an illegal substance, they will still ***** and moan and claim its a conspiracy.

Did you know that lawyers can not legally defend someone with direct and sure knowledge that they are guilty? Thats why lawyers tell you only to answer the questions they ask, and not to give them more info than they ask for.

For me, it's not that I want to be a cheerleader for Margarito... I'm just saying that in any courtroom... an intelligent judge must way the defense... not just what the prosecution says.

I havent used any quotes from Bob Arum.. paster of paris, a casting substance was not found as of yet,,,YET his license was REVOKED.. I understand the SUSPENSION until they get to the bottom of it, but to revoke his LICESENCE because of wet gauz doesnt make sense to me..

it is confusing... paster of paris is a serious offense... I could understand revoking his license for that.. why wasnt Tito's licence revoked for his " illegal" hand wrapping issue?

I am not specifically refering to you, I am new here and dont know much about your stances. I am talking about those defending Margo in general from other threads and articles I read when then have quoted Bob Arum. Also it was more than wet gauze that they found. The descriptions very, but it comes down to that they found a foreign substance that should not be in the wraps in the first place, which is now being analized.

Yeah lawyers are not allowed to defend anyone they know to be guilty but they do it all the time, whats your point?

This isnt a criminal trial, the commissioners made their decision and I am sure they heard the excuses from Margos camp. There must be some sort of paper work needed to revoke the license so maybe we will see more in the coming days about their specific reasons.

Whatever was found was sent to a lab and still being analized. You are jumping to conclusions to support your argument. You cant say no plaster of paris was found as the lab results are not back yet.

It's only confusing when you want it to be. Shane Mosley did not test positive for steroids whether he used or not. That is why he was not suspended. Tito had too much gauze. No foriegn substances. That does not warant a suspension. An illegal and hard foreign substance was found in both of Margarito's gloves. If you dont understand that or are confused it's because you are choosing to be that way from defending Margarito. Even though he and his lying Trainer are guilty as hell.

Dude you just upset because your boy got nailed doing something worng and he got justly punished for it. He had illegal wraps a pad that was hard not like cement but firm enough to be deemed as a substance foriegn to the reguliar type of pads used for wrapping hands of fighters. There was also a powdery substance on his pads and gauze. It may or may not be plaster of paris. But can you think of any other reason to spray something that is going get wet prior to putting your gloveson? Well my reasoning behind doing something like that si because you have a substance on their that will give you and advantage when it gets wet. If you have ever had you hands wrapped up then you know the palm of you hands gets sweaty and wet long before you kncukles and the outer part of you hands do. Also the thickness of the wraps and the layers woud take sometime to get wet. Spraying it before you put you gloves on would greatly speed this process up since all that moister prior to to putting you gloves on would be trapped inside of you gloves and sealed once you tape the wrists of you gloves tight. For you to make any excuses and point out others is leading me to believe that you would approve of doing something illegal something that give you an advantage over your opponent. Whether it be a small thing like a head but or a lo0w blow or a large thing like loading your gloves up. To me you think he should only be suspended it if were found he had cement plaster or some other illegal substance? You think wetting your wraps prior to the fight and inserting a hard firm pad inbetween you knuckles and the out layer of tape is not a big thing. Let me put it this way take a small piece of flexible plastic. Wrap your hands with hand wraps you can buy in models. in between your knuckles put some gauze then over the wraps and the gauze place the piece of plastic. Go one step further and tape you hands over the wraps and the gauze and the plastic or rubber what ever you choose do this only to your left hand assuming you are right handed. Wrap and tape you other hand the same way minus the plastic. Put on 12 once gloves and punch the bag or better yet a piece of meatlet me know what does more damage....Lefty

the descriptions vary, yes, but the substance was not found to paster of paris ( as of yet) he was already susepnd, so why NOW revoked? becuase of wet gauz?

was Tyson's revoked because he bit an ear off? Tito's because the NYSAC deemed his wraps 'illegal' and made him re wrapp, what about SSM or Vargas for testing positve for steriods....? no they were just suspended. My point is..if they were deemed illegal from paster of paris, which is very serious and just being illegally wrapped, why not explain how severe it was instead of saying...wet gauze.. because putting tape on the skin is illegal but not life threating...wearing thr trunks too high is illegal but not life threating..

Im just saying.. if paster of paris wasnt found...then why the revokation of his licence?
