They're not sure if it's Plaster of Paris yet and they won't know until mid-March, right now what caused Margarito's revokation and suspension was wet gauze, CSAC rules prohibit any wet substance to be put on the gauze and padding. -
Just a heads up... no one on here has that kind of information. All we know is that the CSAC thought it worthy of a suspension. Anyone that gives you a clear answer is lying, or speculating at best.Comment

The pad itself was illegal. The one that Che(haha) was talking about. It was firm, not flexible, and he had never seen anything like it. THAT'S what the year suspension was for.
The pad was coated in something that COULD be plaster, but that's what they're testing and we'll find out in mid March.
If it comes back as plaster, they will get lifetime bans.Comment

Blame it all on those wet hand wraps.
Though charges of plaster of Paris were being tossed around the country on Internet sites and blog spots, what it came down to was the simple fact that two knuckle pads inserted in the hand wraps were moistened.
That’s it.
But according to the rules of California, wraps or pads cannot be moistened whatsoever, even with pure drinking water. Nada.Comment

this is what pisses me off. I heard a report on ESPN last night from DAn Rafeal.. he talked about the license being revoked and led me to believe that infact plaster of paris was found on the wrap... NOW I reading that nothing was found as of yet ..yet his license is revoked? its confusing..Comment

1) we dont know what was on the pads
2) the pads are illegal as per the rules and hence the suspension.Comment

for what? wet gauze? doesnt it get moist when a fighter sweats anyways?
it is confusing... paster of paris is a serious offense... I could understand revoking his license for that.. why wasnt Tito's licence revoked for his " illegal" hand wrapping issue?
Why wasnt SSM suspended for steriod use... it is confusing ..Comment

The substance was sent to a lab to determine exactly what it is. It will take time for them to do the lab work.
The suspension shows that they are serious about it and do believe that it was intentional and illegal.
Also consider that the California board that suspended him does not benefit in any way from doing so or has any financial interest in Margo either way.
I think that alone is enough proof of Margo and his trainer's guilt but some people will always defend Margo to the death and use quotes from Bob Arum (who has a financial interest in Margo) to back their arguments.
I am sure that even when the lab work comes back showing proof of an illegal substance, they will still ***** and moan and claim its a conspiracy.Comment
