I have a feeling history will be kind to Calzaghe....Starting when he's inducted into the HOF first ballot.
    don't compare calzaghe to rocky.

marciano might not have had the best resume around but his resume is not a total joke like calzaghe's.

calzaghe fought for 15 years and all he can come up with is a shot eubank , a shot roy jones , an old middleweight hopkins and mikkel kessler.

    give me a break.

do you know the old joe louis that marciano beat was like a decade younger than roy jones and bernard hopkins?

    laughable.

Age in boxing does not mean **** Louis had much more miles on the clock than Bernard. He had took a lot of punishment through his career.

Eubank wasn't shot either...Who the **** told you that?
Eubank had just lost two debatable decisions to steve collins (i had them 1-1) then got hosed out the cruiserweight title. The first fight he got ripped off in and then the second fight he got a BS stoppage against him because of a swollen eye when Thompson needed a KO to win.

Yeah, shot fighter...I laugh at that. LOL!

I'll bet you havent even seen any of these fights....

        are you simple?

just because hopkins can be competitive at an older age doesn't mean everybody can.

you think a hopkins that isn't 40 would lose to jermain "fucking" taylor? don't even bring up pavlik. what the hell has pavlik done?

eubank hadn't fought at 168 for 2 years before he fought calzaghe. he was suppose to fight at cruiser that night and on short notice had to weight drain to 168.

eubank wasn't shot? how much longer did he fight after joe?

he retired the next year. after 2-3 more losses......

          this is a **** poll.

how do you rank joe as an atg when he isn't even an atg?

let me do a better , more appropriate calzaghe poll.

It doesn't, no. We are seeing more and more fighters being able to fight into there late 30's and 40's these days because of better training methods and nutrition.

            are you simple?

No, but im starting to think you are.

just because hopkins can be competitive at an older age doesn't mean everybody can.

Agreed...We are seeing more and more fighters able to extend there careers these days though.

you think a hopkins that isn't 40 would lose to jermain "fucking" taylor? don't even bring up pavlik. what the hell has pavlik done?

Taylor would always give Nard a tough fight because of his style and athletic ability. Did Taylor REALLY win those fights though? Not in my opinion but the judges said so, sooo....

eubank hadn't fought at 168 for 2 years before he fought calzaghe. he was suppose to fight at cruiser that night and on short notice had to weight drain to 168.

Wrong...He was supposed to fight at 175 and Eubank draining himself late was something he always done when he fought.

eubank wasn't shot? how much longer did he fight after joe?

Twice...He got ripped off twice for the cruiserweight title. First fight he got robbed and an imediate rematch was set and the seconds fight he got stopped because of a swollen eye (which he claimed he could still see out of, when his opponent needed a KO to win.

he retired the next year. after 2-3 more losses......
Eubank being shot is a myth dude....You've been lied too. LOL!

                really?

                okay. i take it back.

                eubank was in his prime.

it doesn't matter that eubank hadn't fought at 168 for 2 years.

it doesn't matter that eubank was suppose to fight at 190 and had to weight drain to 168 on short notice.

it doesn't matter that eubank was at the end of his career.

it doesn't matter that eubank never won a single fight again after fighting joe.

the chris eubank that joe fought was the best eubank ever seen in the ring!

You're still a bit of but much closer than saying he was shot. LOL!!

Eubank was leaving his peak....He lacked the killer instinct he once had but none the less he was still a top drawer fighter.

Watch his fights with Thompson.....You'll get my points....

I agree... when you are talking throughout the entire history of boxing... all weights, Joe seems to just get lost... maybe in the 70's or 80's... but not top 50
