he most likely will. Not sure if you've seen that video on the main page, but sounded to me if he couldn't get a rematch with calzaghe he had his mind set on retiring. Of course I'm sure if he's offered another big payday he'd reconsider, but I just dont think a fight with Dawson would pay him any more then it did with Pavlik. Dawson really doesn't have much of a following.

Roy ALWAYS fighting bigger fighters and bernard ALWAYS fighting smaller fighters should be taken into account...

I take nothing away from Bernard, hes still doin what hes doin at 43, but still....all his big wins have come against fighters moving up to face him, except for tarver... and in that win, tarver had to lose 40 pounds from the rocky movie.
Take into account that he was the underdog against two of the so called smaller men...Tito and Pavlik. He was also the underdog against Tarver the bigger guy and one thing you got to take into consideration is he outclassed these dudes. He also beat the crap out of a prime Johnson...

All in all, B-Hop has done alot.

Regardless of facin a few smaller opponents, he still faced everyone. That is all that matters

Trindad moved up to 160, got a middleweight title and said he wanted to fight hopkins.

De la hoya moved up to 160 (said he wanted to fight hopkins), fought Strum, then fought hopkins.

Both of those cases they called bhop out.

The only time hopkins really challenged a smaller guy was winky. But I'm not sure how that fight even came about in the first place, I think both parties were just looking for a $$$ fight.

I disagree with you on this. There was a video that I saw after he had a fight, he was calling out Jr. Middleweights. I think even Merchant told him something about that.

I would understand if those smaller fighters were named Joe Blow or Bum Barker......these smaller dudes were Oscar DLH, Tito Trinidad and Winky Wright......check their resumes, these dudes can fight

Was this during his title reign? If so then so what? There were really no big names for hopkins to fight at 160 or at 168.

Not only that they bring $$$$$$$$$$$ and name recognition. There really isn't a fighter a live, bigger or smaller, that would turn down a fight with oscar or tito. That's just ******. yeah, ok, I'll turn down my biggest pay day by far, plus a chance for millions of people to know my name, all because some people on the internet years from now will say i beat a smaller man. lol makes sense

Felix had moved up to 160 and they fought in the tourney to unify the division. After the 2nd SSM fight, DLH jumped up to chase a big $ fight wit Bhop. After he beat SSM the 1st time, Winky mentioned a rematch, DLH, and Felix as the guys he wanted. Merchant said, "I didn't hear Hopkins," and Winky then threw his name out there too. Pavlik had no other lucrative options since AA was fightin Marquez and the Pwill fight didn't work out, so he targeted a $ fight wit Bhop too.
