is carl froch a paper champion?

he is 31, won a vacated belt from joe calzaghe against a guy who was only a pro for 3 years and fought nobody of note.

    He is at the moment.

Pascal and a shot Robin Reid are his only recognisable opponents.

He's yet to beat a champion. And only has one, shot, old former champion on his resume.

    Crap, for a 31 year old/

Hes absolutely ****ing ****, no skill whatsoever besides his natural power.

I don't like Calzaghe but my god he would **** Froch, what exactly is he? he claims to have supreme boxing skills ... am I missing something? hes also not very good at brawling, Pascal beat him to the punch most of the time but the natural power of Froch pushed him back when he landed those big shots.

He trains harder than most fighters but he must be doing something wrong .

Calzaghe's resume at Froch age was much better. Much.

Right now his title doesn't mean much. He would be legit if he beats Jermain Taylor though.

I'm waiting on his first significant test in the big leagues.

Taylor will be a good match up.

Froch is british, of course yanks will think him a paper champ. Their best Super Middleweight is only a mando to a paper champ.

Until he makes a strong defence or 2, yeah.

I consider almost every belt holder a paper champion.

The belts are mostly worthless nowadays.

168 is wide open IMO, the best 4/5 haven't faced one another or had any significant victories in the past year or two. No champions, but many belts.
